Jerry Clark Monologue

My heart started racing when I heard the words, " He has no Mother. He has no Skates." I was so confused, why didn't he tell me the truth. Jerry was lying to me, but why did Jerry lie to me? I immediately asked Miss.Clark were was the young boy that saw Jerry. I was greeted by the young boy , teen-year-old with brown hair, and a dirty little face, he told me his name was David.

I asked David if he can show me the way, David told me in a calm voice to follow the path on the ground and it would lead me to the laurel. As I was walking I noticed the beauty in the red, orange, and yellow leaves falling down calmly, down to rest on the ground and be ready to be blown away somewhere else. When all of the sudden I saw him, resting down on a tree trunk I called him, he got up and ran to me he wrapped his arms around my waist. As he let go a tracks of dirt going down his face. Why did you come back? he asked. The thing is Jerry I was here to say goodbye, but it was too hard for me to say goodbye to you. I'm adopting you and taking you with me.
Clark that I'm taking Jerry with me, as she handed me the adoption papers, Jerry grinds at me. As we left hand-by-hand the car we noticed the beauty of the pink and purple sky. As we reached the car Pat licked Jerry's face. On our way I thought to myself, I should be thanking Pat and Miss. Clark for getting Jerry and I together. As I turned to see Pat and Jerry, I see that they both we looking at the beautiful sunset. I'm so thankful for God to let me see how wonderful Jerry
