My family and I were heading to the night service in Twin Falls, and I wanted to see the difference in the parks and people in Twin. Twin Falls is located 15 miles from Jerome, and where Jerome is known for having a lower income, Twin Falls is on the opposite spectrum. There are lower income areas, but the upkeep in Twin fair out ways that of Jerome. When going into Twin Falls, you leave Jerome county when you cross the bridge, so this park is literally directly across the bridge. The county splits in the middle of the bridge, so depending on which side of the bridge someone jump off of and lands, will depend on which county picks up the body. It happens. There were two baseball teams there, doing a camp with younger kids. Other than that the park was empty. Four baseball fields, two soccer fields, a playground, picnic tables, and facilities…other than the teams…not a soul in sight! I thought, maybe because it was a bit windy that people weren’t at this park, so I drove around all over town to every park I could find, and other than the city park that had another birthday party going on, not one other park had people in it. Weird! The library was empty and the rec center had two cars in the parking lot. The only place that it looked like people in Jerome visited, was Walmart.
