Jim Davis could have successfully persuaded Patty Matthews if he would have been more able to resolve conflict in a good manner. Jim Davis in a sense demanded things from Patty Matthews and did not give her time to adjust and this led to Patty Matthews ignoring the meeting and the leadership of Jim Davis. The effective use of words when speaking to people will decide if the person receiving the conversation will accept it. There will always be some type of conflict in situations daily and the way a leader resolves these conflicts will decide if it makes a positive difference (Bethel University, 2011). Jim Davis should communicate better with Patty Matthews and try to resolve any conflict before it goes any further and one of them loses their job or it hurts the organization as a
