Humpty Dumpty had a great fall and all the king’s horsemen and all the king’s knights put Humpty Dumpty back together again.” As children we learn these nursery rhymes and games at a very young age. Well with this job you get to be the one teaching these games and nursery rhymes that stuck in your head from childhood. Job shadowing at Pals Preschool was very fun and eye opening. This paper will include the details of the day I job shadowed, how this job will change in the future, my thoughts on this job, and how someone can prepare to go into this field of work. For my job shadow I was able to go to Pal’s Preschool. I spent my day with many different women some being Mrs. Miles the director of the school and the teachers of all ages from infants to kindergarteners. I first started in the 2-3 year olds and as each child came in the teachers greeted them and their parents then they each had their own closet space to hang up their coats and bookbags. Some skills I’ve learned in Highschool that would help with this career would be organization because with younger children there has to be a lot of structure and timeliness, without it everything would be chaotic. Since I was nine I have watched children whether it was my three little cousins, or more recently my cousins baby, and my own nephew. Having these children in my life has helped me be able to take care of certain situations such as a child being sick, scared, hurt, in a bad mood, and a lot of other situations. Also it has made me gain a lot patients and learn new ways to avoid problems that could possibly occur with all
