Johann Sebastian Bach's Life And Music
Johann Sebastian Bach was born on March 31, 1685, in Eisenach Thuringia, Germany. He came from a long line of musicians. His father Johann Ambrosius, was the town's musician. He taught young Johann to play the violin. When bach was seven years old his father sent him to school. He learned latin, religion, and several other subjects. Johann was only ten years old when his parents passed away, leaving him orphaned until his older brother Johann Christopher took him in. Bach stayed with his brother till he was fifteen. After getting into a school in Luneburg, he switched from the violin to the harpsichord. Bach was greatly influenced by a local organist named George Bohm.
