Reading Response 7
I. Quote
a. “We are fifty or a hundred years behind the advanced countries. We must make good distance in ten years. Either we do it, or they crush us.”
b. This quote from the excerpt of Joseph Stalin, “On Soviet Industrialization Speech to Industrial Managers,” February 1931 is significant because Stalin talks about how they will not have the chance of rising to the top and keeping their independence if they lower their tempo at all. He states that they are extremely behind other countries that are advanced. They can only catch up by increasing their tempo and that they must make good distance in the next ten years or they will get “crushed.”
II. Summary
a. Mein Kampf, 1925; Adolf Hitler

Conteaza cine spune primul!

If that happened to me I’d be worried about Bernie but I was glad when they checked up on him, Bernie seemed strange but was a pretty cool guy. As odd and strange as this book is, having the hearts being the last card is quite different but I feel that it adds a spark to the book and the story it makes it interesting. Christmas is one of my favorite holidays of the year, I give Ed props for having a huge party at his place for all of his friends. Around Christmas you need to be with family and friends and that’s what he’s doing. That bet he had with Marv was hilarious, betting him to give the smelly Doorman a kiss is amusing. I can remember growing up I did stupid stuff…
