Josquin De Prez Analysis
My composer’s name is Josquin de Prez. Josquin is a French man, born in the country of Hainaut, Belgium. His actual birth year is 1450. One other thing we do know is that he died on August 27, 1521 in Conde’-sur-l’Escaut, France. Very little is known about his early life, so we are unaware of where he was schooled and educated. We do know that as a young boy Josquin’s father and mother died so he had to go live with his aunt and uncle. His family’s names are unknown due to the fact that much of his early life is unknown.
In 1460 Josquin served as choir-boy at St. Quentin. This was his work as a young boy. Josquin was thought to be the best composer of that time. He was a singer/ song-writer, and composed many songs of many different categories.Martin Luther King Junior said, Josquin de Prez was the mast of the notes.”

Chapter 2: The Music Career Josquin’s music sounds extremely happy and encouraging. His music most likely represents the high points in his life. It sounds like a mix of a’capella and opera. The voices in this song sound very high and beautiful. One specific voice stands out to me the most. The very first thing I notice about the music is a certain voice that can be heard in the background. This voice most likely can’t be heard if you do not listen very closely to the background music. If you want to hear what I hear then, I suggest that you listen very carefully. This voice sounds so interesting because it is also the very first voice that you hear in the song. Next, the rest of the voices slowly transitions into more of the

It is composed of several different lyrical speech-like phrases with rhapsodic emotions with a low level rhythm. The rhythm is based on a syllable count, accents, and long and short vowels. In the background of the piece is the sound of a faint fiddle. It is harmonically accompanying the angelical choir through the highs and lows of the chant. In this recording, there is an added drone accompaniment that was not in the original single melodic line manuscript. At first, the melody seems calm as it proceeds primarily by step within a low register. Then the melody creates a sense of progression and growth as it moves gradually through a wide pitch range. The melody soars up to two and one half octaves, leaping and swirling into a flourish of emotions. The heights of this chant are like the spires of Gothic cathedrals shooting upwards into the sky. The climactic tone is reserved for the concluding phrase, which gently descends by step to the original low…

Rousseau was sent to a religious school by his uncle, when he attended this school he suffered from extreme discipline which cause him to have problems with authority. When Jean Jacques left the school, he was alone with no one to take care of him. In an attempt to find his way and take care himself he took on a few apprenticeships as an engraver but he was not successful in that area. These unfortunate mishaps in his life caused him to spend time alone and explore what he loved and that was nature. In his description of being liberated from the camps, Frankl (2006)says, “Only slowly could these men be guided back to the commonplace truth that no one has the right to do wrong, not even if wrong has been done to them” (p. 91). I believe Frankl was trying to let the men know that it’s ok to be angry and hurt by what the guards have done to them and their families. Frankl believed one day there would be some kind of consequences that they would face for their actions of what they have done to the people and their families in the camps. Frankl didn’t want the prisoners to retaliate on the guards for the crimes that they had committed, he also didn’t want the prisoners to be killed. He also believes that it’s going to take some time for these people to get their life back, and going home and facing the truth about what happen to them and their families. I could not imagine going home after what had happen in these camps knowing that there might not be anyone to go home too. These men have lost so much in their life; they were made to work and live in poor conditions. All they had was their faith and the hope that they would see their loved ones after being release from the camps.…

This is an amazing energetic piece by the presented of these instruments: piano, cowbell, timpani, maracas, voices (soprano, alto, tenor, and bass). The tempo throughout the piece are rallentando and fast tempos. The piece sounded strong, powerful, harmonizing in between the instrument, but also chilling at the sacred movement where it got slow and a bit softer. Overall, the dynamics where mezzo forte, forte, tenuto, crescendo, and sforzando. The word that have been repeated the most throughout the piece was “silliza” with a loud (forte) by the voices singing. I have enjoyed this piece and love it because it sounds really energetic, strong, happy, fun, and exciting. In my opinion, this is an good ending song where all the choirs get to sing together before the concert…

It is thus not surprising that Rulfo’s most recent documentary De panzazo (Barely Passing the Grade, 2012) was codirected by Televisa newscaster Carlos Loret de Mola (1976-), one of López Obrador’s most notorious public enemies in the media, or that the film’s attack on the deficiencies of Mexico’s educational system in general, and on the teachers’ unions in particular, aligns with the educational reform that then-candidate Enrique Peña Nieto was beginning to float and that became law a year later. Unlike Luis Mandoki or Carlos Mendoza, Rulfo cannot be pigeonholed within any particular political ideology or party line, and his documentaries achieve a considerable degree of media exposure and audience access precisely because their ideological…
