Russell said she went downstairs and saw Lopez coming toward her carrying vacuums. Russell said she told Lopez "No", and to drop the items, and Lopez told her he had weapons. Russell said she continued to tell
Lopez to drop the items and got louder and louder as she did to attract more attention to Lopez.

Russell said Rebecca Wood, another employee, knocked over boxes of air conditioning units near the exit to the store to black Lopez's path, but he climbed over them and pushed past her. Russell said Lopez used his shoulder to push past Wood, and Wood was not injured.

Russell said she followed Lopez out of the store entrance/exit, on the south side of the store, but kept her distance while she called 911. Russell said she spoke to the dispatcher while following Lopez southbound through the parking lot. Russell said she saw Police arrive and pointed out Lopez. Russell said the male Police had arrested was the same male who stole the vacuums.

Officer Foster obtained a video statement from Russell, which he later copied
