Jrotc Job Analysis

In this lifetime, I have but one objective that I must risk everything to accomplish. Centered on loyalty, duty, respect, selfless-service, honor, integrity, and personal courage, the goal that I am referring to is becoming the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Only an elite handful of people has ever made it to this position. Two of those elites are General Powell and General Dunford. This supposedly tiny list will continuously grow as the years move on. This makes it apparent that as time fails to stop for anyone, the window of opportunity will also follow suit.
As of now, I am a senior at Cass Technical High School. In addition, I am also the Command Sergeant Major for Cass Tech’s JROTC program. As the Command Sergeant Major, my duties include being the standard bearer for our battalion’s cadets, and leading our drill and color guard team. Besides that, I am also an active volunteer within my community and school. The last event that I participated in was earlier in the school year as the lead cadet of a concession stand at a college sports game in order to raise money for my JROTC program. Also, I have been a service learning project coordinator for a project that had the purpose of aiding the homeless citizens of Detroit. With that stated, my objective fails to terrify me. What startles me is the thought of failing to accomplish my dreams. Failure is the fear that I must battle just for a taste of success.
