Jung Typology
After completing the Jung Typology test, I found that my personality type is INTJ (Introvert, Intuitive, Thinking, Judging). Each letter has a meaning and a certain percentage that is assigned in regards to the relativeness of each aspect of the personality. In addition to the four-letter type, each personality type is assigned a two-letter temperament. Each of these letters in combination has a meaning that is accociated with certain manners of behavior and tendancies. From the “Worldview Perspective on Organizational Behavior” presentation, the idea of a biblical worldview and how it relates to our organizational behavior and our personalities is defined. Lastly, Kroeger and Thuesen’s book, Type Talk at Work, explores the 16 personality …show more content…
One of those tendancies is that at work I tend to notice individuals that are not as motivated in their work or who are "slacking”, as the Jung Typoloty test states, and I tend to lose respect for those individuals. Ive noticed it pretty often lately in myself, but I think it can a positive thing if I make it that way. If focus on it as an opportunity for me to maybe motivate those individuals it can become a positive aspect of my personality, and I think it’s a great leadership skill to have to be able to motivate those around you towards a …show more content…
I think at times my introvertedness can hinder me, but it can also be an avenue for me to develop more in order to be a better leader. I do think I have a quiet confident in my abilities, but I can be self conscious about what I do not know. I think in general by simply understanding the why behind the way I behave is really helpful to know, because it allows me to get outside my own head and almost look at my behavior from an objective perspective. I think realizing that by knowing my personality type and now being able to recognize similar traits in others will help me to interact and communicate with my co-workers better. I think learning not only your own type of personality but others as well is vital, because it lets you understand other individual’s tendencies and the “why” behind what they do as

According to the Jung Typology Test, my type is considered introverted, sensing, feeling, and judging or ISFJ. ISFJ characterized as always desiring to give back to others; often taking advantage of by their peers. Individuals of this type are very family orientated and have a small collection of close friends as well as possessing strong loyalty ties. Ironically, I see myself very much under the description of what an ISFJ is because I have a strong need to be needed. Sometimes I find myself overworked, but I never seek appreciation because it feels wrong to me. My family is always the top priority, my friends are the ones that I can always go to, and my loyalty is unbreakable. Even, the personality type pinpoints career aspirations in medical…

Very rarely so we take stock in our own well-being in the workplace and even less time is spent on determining if our personalities fit within the expected model of behavior that is expected at the organization for which we are part of. Occasionally it is good to sit back and look at oneself and determine what your personality traits are and if they coincide with your goals. According to Wan Ismail and Awadh (2011), personality can be a determining factor in one’s job performance. Further research has shown that personality differentiates one person from another (Beer & Brooks, 2011) and that personality traits remain steady and stable through ones work life (Myers, 1998). Carl Jung Archetypes

Carl Jung, most famously known for his work in describing archetypes, synchronicity, and the collective unconscious has shown me a new way to look at life. Archetypes reveal to humans that we are not just linked through how we look or what functions we have such as arms, hearts or breathing. Some classic archetypes in my life were such as my father was a tyrant of a man who would control everything my family did because when my family lived with him, he did not let my mom have any money to do anything or to go anywhere unless it were to go buy groceries. My father even controlled use when he and my mother were separated by making us see him on weekends when me and my sister were young. Seeing him made my mom extremely upset and he was a very abusive man overall.…

The Humanmetrics Jung Typology Test was very accurate with the results of my personality type. According to Humanmetrics, ISFJs are characterized by their desire to serve others or “need to be needed.” As far as my strengths are concerned, the test was extremely accurate because I am warm, friendly, and affirming by nature; service-oriented; good listener; excellent organizational capabilities; good at handling money; and taking care of daily needs. However, it was wrong on two of the weaknesses that it listed, which were, difficulty branching out into new territory and difficulty moving on after the end of a relationship. I have moved majority of my life, especially during my entire 20s as an ex-military wife and had to adapt to very different environments all the time. My most recent example would be starting college for the first time in over ten years. The other weakness about moving on after the end of a relationship, I would also say is false, because although I take my time to heal and move forward in any relationship, I don’t say I do so with difficulty. I prefer to heal and collect myself and thoughts in order to be sufficient in the next relationship. The most surprising thing I learned about myself by taking this test was the extent in which I give my time, attention, and love to others. I already knew that I was a nurturer from how I am in day to day life and being told by most people I meet, but with reading the…

I believe it benefits me to be an introvert in the work place. Many employers value a calm, measured and thoughtful attitude both toward work projects and interactions with colleagues. Personality assessments provide individuals with the understanding of their strengths and weaknesses. Based on the outcome of an assessment, an individual would have a choice on which career path would better suit them, as a result, it helps them to determine which degree to pursue. The Jungian 16-type personality assessment scored me as an ISTJ personality type. The assessment of an ISTJ personality shows my personality as organized, compulsive, private, trustworthy, and practical. I have a possible career choice as an office manager, accountant, business manager, tax agent, and a public servant (Eggert, 2000). The following is the breakdown of the letters, which classifies the ISTJ personality: I (Introversion), S (Sensing), T (Thinking) and J (Judgment) (Eggert, 2000). An MBA will give you a dynamic life experience, and it will assist you with three main value propositions: skills, brand and network.…
