Kids today listen to music in one of three places, the radio, television, or the internet. When they are listening to the versions playing, they are listening to most likely an original version of the song recorded by the original artist. If that song is inappropriate in any way, in radio and television, on most stations that are “family friendly” these songs must also be “family friendly”, so a clean version of that song is played; recorded by the original artist. This defeats the purpose of Kidz Bop making these songs clean. There is also the possibility that the child goes online to listen to this music, where most likely it is uncensored, also defeating the one purpose of Kidz Bop. Kidz Bop does nothing to these songs besides changing the vocals then. This leaves the kids and parents to listen to what is essentially children singing
