For example, he or she usually spends a substantial amount of time interviewing their customers before hearings or trials. In the event a prosecutor provides an offender a plea bargain, a defense lawyer is accountable for speaking about the deal with the offender.…
The lawyer is the lead in the legal team and has passed the bar examination and have a license to practice law in their respective state(s). In larger firms, the lawyers can be assigned as partners and associates. The partner has actual ownership in the firm whereas the associate are usually on salary as an employee, not being an owner in the firm. The supervising attorney in a large firm is responsible for the actions and work of the lawyers under him/her. The paralegal is responsible for the litigation process. Some of the responsibilities of the paralegal are preparing casework, investigations, preparing briefings, conducting interviews and scheduling and maintaining client contacts. The support staff are those individuals within the firm that work collectively to accomplish assignments. Investigators are those that conduct the research and gather facts regarding the case to validate or find fault in legal issues of the case. The information technologists (IT) individuals are those who maintain the software and hardware in the firm and keep the necessary equipment operational.…
Analysis: The total area of my ecosystem was six feet, but the area we sampled was four feet. We had six types of each smartie: 4 green, 5 orange, 10 purple, 7 red, 5 white, and 14 yellow. In our sampled area we had 3 green, 0 orange, 5 purple, 2 red, 0 white, and 7 yellow. We had 4.25 organisms per total area that was the density. Our relative density was 8.88% green, 11.11% orange, 22.22% purple, 15.55% red, 11.11% white, and 3.45% yellow. The frequency of each organism was 75% green, 0% orange, 50% purple, 25% red, 0% white, and 75% yellow. The relative frequency of each organism was 33% green, 0% orange, 22% purple, 11% red, 0% white, and 33% green. The coverage of each type of organism was 18.83%. The importance value of each organism was 34.24 for green, 9.98 for orange, 30.35 for purple, 19.79 for red, 9.98 for white, and 32.43 for yellow. The rank of my organism’s importance from highest to lowest is: green, yellow, purple, red, then white and orange. My population estimate for part II is 11.66 yellow smarties. My % error for population estimate is 16.71%. We used a line transect for this lab, and I think most of these calculations could be more applied to plants, since they are stationary and do not move, like smarties, which do not move. This is more difficult to compare to animals since animals move, and may react to being captured and recaptured.…
They have the ability to provide, compared to the other witnesses, their own opinions concerning facts of the case (Pozullo et al., 2016). Further, their role is to know not only their own testimony, but also be knowledgeable of how they fit in the court proceedings and what their presence implicates (Pozullo et al., 2016). For example, the expert witness must know what restrictions are applied to their behaviour in court (Pozullo et al., 2016). Through educating the trier of fact, these witnesses help them decide the sentence that is best suited for the accused, if said accused is found to be guilty. Expert witnesses, such as psychologists, help determine if the accused should be imprisoned (Pozullo et al., 2016).…

In my work role I read through a client’s personal assessment and identify their needs before my first meeting with a client. Then I would discuss the client’s needs face to face and assess how I can best work with the client to encompass all the clients’ diverse needs promoting equality, this also included if ‘I’ am best suited for the clients needs.…
Paralegals have been around since the early seventies and the debate whether paralegals should be regulated has been around just as long. Paralegals assist attorneys in various legal capacities including drafting documents, conducting factual and legal research and working with clients. Although many paralegals can do much of the same work as lawyers, they may not practice law or give legal advice to clients.…
Repeating what the client has said, will show them we are listening. The client will feel more comfortable in knowing you are listening to the message being said. When speaking with a client, we must avoid any outside distractions. A calm and quiet location is best when trying to counsel a client. While reading through this article, I realized a few common strategies when dealing with a client. Leaning toward the client, will show them we are attentive. Eye contact will let the client know we are interested in what is being said, and acknowledging what they are saying. I’ve learned that outside distraction should be avoid at all cost, so the client knows I am only focusing on them. All these strategies will be used when entering this field, because I want to do what is best for my clients and help assist them the best I can.…

I’ve grown up in a time where cannabis has been greatly talked about in positive ways. Some of my friends have used it before and they've told me that it was very beneficial to their mental and physical health. Many people benefit from using this drug and some just enjoy doing it. I feel that people lose some of their personal freedom when they’re not allowed to use cannabis. Im sure that you, a government official, would be concerned about the people's view on marijuana.…

I wanted to explore this notion of role and the confusion over the ‘role of the interpreter’ that there seems to be within the field. We are human beings and cannot step out of our role as a human being; I do not stop being a human being when I am working as an interpreter, just as I do not stop being an interpreter when I am in a situation which does not require interpretation. I do, however, consider my actions and behaviour when both in and out of interpreting situations and what the consequences could be for other aspects of my life, therefore behaving as a professional. For example, to mock Deaf people in an inappropriate manner in the pub amongst friends could ruin not only my reputation but the views of others about Deaf people. To accept an interpreting job which would affect me negatively i.e. a difficult mental health case, may not be suitable for me, and so I may not accept it. I cannot switch off my emotions because I am in a situation as ‘an interpreter’ because I am in the situation as me, one cannot be extracted from the other.…
St. Hildegard of Bingen (1098-1179) was a German composer, poet, philosopher, mystic, linguist, botanist, and medical theorist. She left us with about seventy poems and nine books. Two of them are books of medical and pharmaceutical advice about the human body and the properties of herbs. She was an influential and spiritual woman whose loyal devotion led the way for future generations of women to be successful in fields such as theology, medicine, music and art. At a very early age, she experienced visions of a powerful light, but she hid her prophetic abilities until much later in life. At the age of eight she went to the Benedictine Monastery at Mount St. Disibode to be educated. Hildegard died in 1179 and it wasn’t until Pope Benedict XVI…
