As Katie grows up she experiences difficult situations that she would not have understood how to confront them if it was not for Lynn. Sadly Lynn becomes very ill and fatigued. By the day Lynn becomes
even sicker and the doctor does know what is exactly wrong with her. Unfortunately, many tragic events happen when Katie is eleven and twelve. Including Lynn dyeing and her dad losing his job. Katie was very disappointed in herself because she had told her sister that she hated her when that was not the case. Also that she was not with her at the time she died.
Time passed and Katie could never forget Lynn’s favorite word Kira-Kira. That word followed Katie everywhere. That summer her family went to California and that word was the only word Katie could hear. All Lynn ever wanted was to see the beaches of California. Lynn had dreamed of living there right across the street from Katie. Lynn had loved Katie and Katie had loved Lynn that was on thing that would never change.
