However,when I think of my “heroic deeds” I'm at a blank. I have no words for a story in which I have saved people from airplane, or giving mouth to mouth to a toddler who was about to drown in a pool, I have done nothing that is amazing in that sort of sense of a hero. Everyday though, I do a random act of kindness. Opening doors for strangers, or helping load groceries into a car, even saying hello, or smiling at someone who is having a bad day. Its so simple, and yet so beautiful.
My dance teacher is who inspired me to commit to doing random acts of kindess. She found a website http://www.randomactsofkindness.org/ its a foundation thats goal is to insprire people to practice kindess and pass it on to others. They have stories, goals, even classes on different aspects of kindness. She encouraged us to look into it after hearing a story about a young girl who was taking a walk and was struggling with feeling unoticed and invisible, she said to herself that she was going to commit suicide that day, unless she got a sign that she mattered, not long after that a woman came up to her and asked how she was doing, that ended up being the only piece of hope that she had, to stick around.
