Imagine you were those poor kids, starving for hunger, and needing someone there by your side to protect you in any situation. Some kids don’t have anything or anyone with them. A hero can be anyone in this world that would want to help children in need, make circumstances better in the community, or child and their families. They’re not only helping one child, but they’re helping multiple childs and families . Heroes can get out of their way to help anyone in any situation or problem they have in the world. For an example accidents, car crashes, hunger, illnesses, schools, and etc. All in all, heroes take action in what's right, want to help kids have a education and food on the table ,and bring children in that feel like they are not wanted …show more content…
This nation should be just what she created, Fugees, which is a program for all children that don’t have the support they need. “The Fugees is a perfect example of what this nation is supposed to be about, which is to provide a refuge for the refugees” (Brokaw). This shows that she took action to do what’s right for those children. First things first, she found all Fugees because of soccer and she started noticing lots of kids struggling because they don't have any food or anyone to go home to. This is showing that Luma saw what those young boys and girls were going through and decided to help them. “You see kids that have been struggling ... and their faces light up when they're on the field” (Klairmont). This proves that she’s helping those families and children in need and making their faces light up with something that they love doing. Clearly, Luma has taken it into her own hands to help these poor children and families make their life …show more content…
Luma Mufleh has been to the point where she felt left out or not wanted, so she wants to make it better for those kids and not make them feel how she felt. "I've always felt like an outsider, and I could identify with them" (Angley). This states that she's been there before so she knows how those kids are feeling and she know what's it like being in their shoes. She wants them to be comfortable and wants them to think that the Fugees are always going to be by their side. During the Fugees vacations they do lots of things to entertain the kids and keep them active that why they love it there. Not only do they help the kids for education but the also make it fun for them. “The Fugees is the best team and school I have. We help each other pass class because we want to win the game. Practice is fun because I want to get stronger. I like summer camp. We ride bike to the blue house. Every Friday, we go to a field trip like swimming, movie, and restaurant. I love Fugees because it’s fun to play soccer in Fugees. They teach good” (Sylvert). These children tell us about how fun the are having in the Fugees Academy and also make them fun for them outside of school and in school. That how Luma Mufleh makes every child in the program feel wanted and helps them fit
