L Bean Shoe Analysis
I drew three different hands, looking at my own as an example. On each one I tried to find a different way I could angle my hand, or head to get different perspectives.

I found this picture off of google images. The thing I was trying to do with this picture was almost give each side of the face a different expression. Looking at the face as a whole, this is most noticeable the eyes.

I drew this picture based on some different shops and apartments in Hallowell.

This projects was a right brain activity. It was focused on finding a way to make each face identical to the other. This was hard because once you finished a face you would notice that it didn’t quite line up with the other and you would have to start over on that part. One thing

One of the hardest things about this project was trying to show value without repeating any patterns; so you had to think, how can this pattern change so it can show light, and dark values. What I liked about this project was coming up with different patterns I could use. If I could do anything differently I would change the scale pattern I used on the L.L Bean boot.

The still project focused on the proportions of each object and how they interacted with the other objects, and the light. One of the hardest things for me in this project was trying to make the wrinkles in the fabric look real. But I do really like how it turned out. If I could fix anything I would focus more on the light and dark values on the wine bottle, and try to make either of them more pronounced.

In the Empty Bowl project I focused on trying to connect each different bowl through the color scheme. We all made one coil bowl, one pinch-pot, and one slab bowl. If I liked how in the end all the colors fit together well. And If I could change anything I would paint the coil bowl, and find a way for the pinch-pot bowl to be more

If Thomas has a surprise during class, such as his favourite teacher walks in the room or if they asked someone to come in that all the children liked. Thomas facial expression would change as his mood had changed for example, he would raise eyebrow, wide open eyes, and open mouth to show that he is surprised. However, if Thomas wants to happy that someone he didn’t like walking into the room his face would also change to maybe these, the Inner corners of the eyebrows are drawn in and upwards, frowning of lips, pouting of lower lip, and eyes cast down. These are some example of facial expressions.…

Having multiple CG bowls, plates, apples, napkins, cutlery and glass flying through the air meant careful choreography was required. All of the objects on the laid dinner table are CG, from cutlery to food, drinking glasses etc. One shot has a jug with cloudy lemonade, animated with a surface deforming effect rather than a fluid simulation. Even the candles are CG, complete with a manipulated flame element. We also altered some of the lighting effects, particularly on Jacob, to reduce the harshness of the onset lighting on his face; this gave a more interactive lighting…

The expansion of Jimmy Beans Wool caused the business to lose the intimacy that it once had with its customers. It appears once the Zander’s removed themselves from the day to day functions of the business the once thriving company started to experience a decrease in positive cash flow, which caused the Zanders’ to seek outside advice. I would suggest that both, Doug and Laura step back into their original roles and focus on what made Jimmy Beans Wool successful in the first place—the customers. Expansion is great! However, it has had a negative impact on Jimmy Beans Wool causing the Zanders’ to dip into their personal account to meet payroll.…

A facial expression is the movement of the muscles beneath a person’s skin and it often demonstrates someone’s state of mind. For example if a person is upset they may look down and have upwardly slanted eyebrows and a frown. On the other hand a person who is happy will probably smile and have crescent-shaped eyes. Eye-to-eye contact can also show how a person is feeling or what they may be thinking. If a person avoids eye contact it may indicate that they are upset or annoyed, whereas a person who has wide eyes may suggest that they are excited. Facial expressions can help professionals understand how a person may be feeling or thinking. It is also very important that professionals show the right facial expressions too, for example they should smile when speaking to someone to show that they are interested and happy to be with them. This will help the person’s self-esteem and to build a strong and trusting relationship so they can share any personal information. (Wikipedia, 2015) (Carolyn Aldworth,…

A tragic hero is a person who makes an error in their judgment that leads to their ultimate demise. In the play, Antigone by Sophocles, the character Antigone serves as a foil to Creon’s character by highlighting his anger, ruthlessness and his power hungriness. The choices Creon makes for Antigone in the play lead him to his own destruction making him a tragic hero.…

Recently, I was in the market for a pair of dress shoes or at least business casual shoes which is an interesting ordeal. So I shopped around the local stores and department stores ranging from DSW to Shoe Carnival. I finally settled on Rack Room Shoes. Now the normal price for the shoes which I was looking for ranged between fifty to a hundred dollars depending upon the brand or style. The reason I ultimately settled upon Rack Room Shoes was cost and quantity. Rack Room Shoes at the time was running a special sale on their shoes where I could get two pairs of shoes for the price of one. This struck me as an excellent deal because I wanted to buy both a black and a brown pair of dress shoes. So I was able to purchase both pairs of shoes for…

Another project was one that he put together in our building, derived from previous work. The wall of air pillows layered with many different strata that represented changes in our life. The different strata ranged from childhood things such as diapers all the way up to objects that represented life’s elder stages. The wall to me was like a timeline of our lives represented with everyday objects. Here they were put together layered with air pillows, forming a wall that closed in on you. He had done projects very similar to this in the past, which I believe was practice leading up to what we saw, even though that probably was not his plan. This was just a project, where over the years he tried new things, and searched for new meanings.…

It seemed very unique. I also enjoy creating projects with a variety of things, so learning about ways to use resin or concrete seemed interesting. I think that Bob’s project was pretty good, but there were some things that could have been better considering this was supposed to be a very sophisticated design project. The tabletop turned out good, but the table as a whole was a bit rough. For example, as the table top was supposed to be the main spotlight, the center of the project, it was not enhanced by the rest of the table, but the focus and charm of the tabletop was taken away from the frame of the table. I think the project could have been improved by using a lighter wood to imitate the boardwalks of the beach, as well as allow for the piece to be tied together, instead of the darker colored stained that in a way was dark that it held no contrast against the water. I think that the corners of the table top would have looked better if it had stayed, because taking them away takes away from the overall “vast ocean” simplistic design of the table. Instead, I think adding a lighter wood with a frame that was mainly underneath the tabletop, to create a floating effect may have looked better. I think that there could have been more research put into how to attach the pieces together, whether it be putting a piece of wood underneath the concrete to stick to, so that the pieces would…
