Given that the target population for the program would identify as first-generation Latino male undergraduate transfers and freshman among those organizations with which LEALES would expect to work closely are: the Cross-Cultural Center (CCC), and LARC. Although it may be anticipated that LEALES will work with many more additional organization, the organizations listed previously are those which offer services which seem especially appropriate for the LEALES population. Given that the target population is so specific; serving first-generation Latino males, perhaps the LEALES program might best be housed under the CCC. The CCC for example offers various programs for multicultural leadership development which could be helpful for the Latino males that make up the LEALES program. The CCC is currently going through changes in the department but it might be expected that LEALES would work closely with the director of the program. Currently the Darlene Esparza is the interim director for the CCC. LEALES could work with the director to come up with ways in which Latino culture could be promoted and better understood throughout the campus. The other organization with which LEALES would partner up with would be LARC. LARC stands for Learning and Academic Resource Center; the center offers students students different workshops on a variety of topics from study strategies to test taking. It also offers tutorial programs lead by student facilitators for certain classes. These types of services might be of special interest to the LEALES members considering that Latino students because of their racial and socio-economic background tend to come largely from under-resourced, understaffed, underperforming, and inadequately funded schools.
