For potatoes like me >s
These past few days ,what have been my so-called short vacation, were my do-nothing-so-do-whatever-you-want days. People who would come to know what I’ve been doing (or what I have not been doing), will probably tell me, “Maglampaso ka buong araw”, “Wag kang uupo upo lang dyan”, and maybe the people who gets the nerdy awards would even convey “Try mo kayang magreview para sa next sem”. But you know, these days do not come and happen often, so why not treasure every minute of being a couch potato.
But you know, being a couch potato doesn’t always mean just sitting on the couch. And do-nothing days do not really exactly mean one does not do anything at all.
My vacation so far? Let’s just say I have been a couch potato spending weeks of do-nothing days. I have neevr done anything academically related for the past days and still, I’m proud of it, is it bad? I mean, I have not been that academically productive, but still, I believe I have been productive in my own ways. I just do things with lesser significance with that of the nerdy stuffs.
So my vacation looks a little, no scratch that, superbly like this:
Korean movies+ Tumblr + Instagram + Midnight snacks + Lots and lots of in between meals snacks + long essays like this + Camera Vanity + Planner + Doodle + Sketch Pad + BOOKSSSS! + Facebook all day online but never available for chat = MY VACATION, BOW
You see, being a couch potato isn’t being unproductive at all! Well, couch potatoes like me just choose to do stuff that requires sitting down on the very soft sofa more than standing up with all tiresomeness. SO YEAAA. I don’t know why I wrote these things. I think these things have been bothering me but now that I’ve written this essay , maybe I’m not that regretful for being a couch potato.

On the other hand, bad-organised people who haven’t any motivation may use this approach for doing nothing. For example, when I had a big task of homework I decided to do it at a library because when I had begun to do it in my hostel I found out that I was sleeping, eating and surfing on the Internet a lot. That’s why I understand now that if I want a good result I should work in less convenient condition than I have at…

After reading The Letter From Sullivan Ballou i noticed that it was quite similar to An Occurrence At Owl Creek Bridge. Both had something to do with the love the men felt for their wives and the reality of knowing that they might be dead soon. This story and letter have the same meaning but put into two different ideas. Farquhar knew was going to be hung for wrong doing and Ballou Knew he had a chance of surviving or dying in war, They both thought about their wives while knowing this.…

Therefore speaking, I think procrastination is a good thing if you’re using your time and mind in the right way. Not by playing video games, watching television, sitting around, and doing absolutely nothing. You could make up healthy ways to use your time, like Raymond Chandler did in sentence 16, “Chandler forced himself to write detective stories by setting aside four hours a day and following these two rules: a .) you don’t have to write. b.) you can’t do anything else.” You could make alist, and list the things that could and couldn’t do during that time.…

As I sit here, writing this essay, I cannot help but think, what a mundane break it would have been if I had no homework to do. In fact, break should not be called break, if each and every student is not assigned some kind of exciting, thrilling school work to take home to do during the time-abundant, otherwise overwhelmingly boring, break.…

Most people do the same thing every day, going to work, eating, then sleeping. It’s a very dull way of living, yet most people don’t do anything about it. Of course, it’s not easy; leaving such a stasis life can be difficult, and it’s easier to not get in to that cycle than leaving it. However, being more spontaneous in life, even if you have to put in more effort, it’s better than being stuck in that…

How I Spend My Free Time

    • 279 Words

As a student, I am quite busy on weekdays. However, at weekends, I have much free time, so I usually spend it on relaxing to prepare for a coming busy week. First of all, in my free time, I like playing some sports, such as soccer, badminton or basketball, with my friends. Sport not only makes me stronger but also connects me with my friends who have the same hobbies. We sometimes go riding in order that we can combine sporting activity and sightseeing. If the weather is not fine enough for me to hang out with my friends, I like to read books. I have a big bookshelf with many kinds of books but I prefer science books. Through these books, my knowledge is gradually enlarged. Thirdly, I also love to listen to music from pop, rock 'n roll to rap or melody. I can listen to music at any place with a small but modern Ipod which is my father's gift for my 18th birthday. Sometimes, I dance freely when listening to my favorite songs. Music really paints my life. Last but not least, I spend my free time on surfing on Internet. I can chat with my friends from very far distance or log on websites to read online news. With Internet, I update many things without having to go anywhere. I can also study English through some interesting websites. (If I have very difficult exercises and cannot solve them by myself, I will visit Google Answers and have somebody to help me. Just like this one ^^). In conclusion, I want to use all of my free time to relax and connect with other…
