Landscaping of the Netherlands is this another trend or a personal preference? In my experience a little bit of both. I have rocked the natural looked, razor trimmed, bikini, sugaring, waxing and brazilian. For me landscaping is a personal choice. Both men and woman do landscaping. Landscaping has been going on since Ancient Egyptian era.
The question is to have our genital hair be all natural, trimmed or brazillan. I will be discussing the different aspects of religion, cultural, hygiene, cost: time, gender and personal preference.
Are there any religious beliefs that make an individual be all natural vs bald? Yes, there is. Muslim religion sees the removal of all pubic hair as an act of religious purity as part of matrimony ceremony for both the bride and groom. The Sihk religion forbid removal of any body hair.
Throughout history our oldest cultures have been trimming or complete removal of pubic hair. Ancient Egyptian men and women were also obsessed with hygiene and removal or trimmed pubic hair as a way to be clean, avoiding pubic lice they used tweezers, razors made out of flint or bronzed or sugaring …show more content…
method. In Korea pubic hair is viewed as fertility and sexual health. Ancient Greeks thought pubic hair on a woman was uncivilized. Around 1900’s American woman were trimming or having brazillians due to bathing suits and fashion.
Different environmental factors played a role into hygiene and having a full bush or not. Pubic lice were a huge factor. It is better to be bald then to have to deal with pubic lice in my opion. Some feel cleaner with a trim. Some people perspire more in their genital area and find being maintained vs natural helps with managing the odor and or sweat. Some are very sensitive and have issues when they are not natural from razor bumps, rashes, ingrown hair, burns or skin irritation as well as skin conditions. Waxing or sugaring cannot be done on any open areas, eczema outbreak, varicose veins. (Milady Fundamental Esthetics). Let’s discuss the cost, upkeep and time involvement. Natural is free, zero upkeep and zero-time involvement. Trimmed, cost of trimmer low end $10 and takes about 10 minutes a week. Bikini (sugaring/waxing), cost $35 every 4-6 weeks it takes about 10 minutes. Brazilian(sugaring/waxing), cost $70 every 4-6 weeks and takes around 30 minutes.
The social exchange theory, cultural traditions and power of persuasion plays a role in a women preference to be all natural, maintained or bald.
What I mean is that every generation has their own fashion. Before fashion played a role in society a women’s body was completely covered. Then came the swimsuits which exposed more skin, shorter dresses and skirts and shirts were exposing more skin. Women undergarment were exposing more skin then they use to. Some cultures view being natural the norm and others view trimming or bald the society norm. There are a lot of advertising for hair removal products and how you will feel. Sounds like propaganda doesn’t it. Each person has the ability to make thier own choice to be all natural and support a proud bush, be trimmed with or without design or be complete bald and loving
it.
Not one aspect can make a peron choose one over the other. It’s their body, pain tolerance, finical commitment and a peronal choice.
