To be bushed or not to be?
Landscaping of the Netherlands is this another trend or a personal preference? In my experience a little bit of both. I have rocked the natural looked, razor trimmed, bikini, sugaring, waxing and brazilian. For me landscaping is a personal choice. Both men and woman do landscaping. Landscaping has been going on since Ancient Egyptian era.
The question is to have our genital hair be all natural, trimmed or brazillan. I will be discussing the different aspects of religion, cultural, hygiene, cost: time, gender and personal preference.
Are there any religious beliefs that make an individual be all natural vs bald? Yes, there is. Muslim religion sees the removal of all pubic hair as an act of religious purity as part of matrimony ceremony for both the bride and groom. The Sihk religion forbid removal of any body hair.
Throughout history our oldest cultures have been trimming or complete removal of pubic hair. Ancient Egyptian men and women were also obsessed with hygiene and removal or trimmed pubic hair as a way to be clean, avoiding pubic lice they used tweezers, razors made out of flint or bronzed or sugaring

What I mean is that every generation has their own fashion. Before fashion played a role in society a women’s body was completely covered. Then came the swimsuits which exposed more skin, shorter dresses and skirts and shirts were exposing more skin. Women undergarment were exposing more skin then they use to. Some cultures view being natural the norm and others view trimming or bald the society norm. There are a lot of advertising for hair removal products and how you will feel. Sounds like propaganda doesn’t it. Each person has the ability to make thier own choice to be all natural and support a proud bush, be trimmed with or without design or be complete bald and loving

I completed the GEOG 285- Landscaping and Geography course and it exceeded all of my expectations! This three week program was the perfect mix of exploring, scenery, learning, and exhilaration. There is a great balance between school and fun and the field trips are remarkable. There is also enough time during weekends to go on personal trips. This class offers the opportunity of a lifetime and I loved every second of it. I had the chance to truly experience learning abroad and I met many cool people throughout the endeavor. The University of Otago staff were incredible and made me feel at home. I highly recommend this program and would do it again in a heartbeat! :)…

Prior to the nineteen twenties women who were seen as sumptuous had stunning long hair and did not wear a lot of makeup. It was not until ballroom dancer Irene Castle stepped on stage to perform with her hair cut above her shoulders that a new trend was started, because women were known to have long hair during this time period this soon became a big part of hair history.¨Early on, when women wanted to emulate that look, they couldn’t just walk into a beauty salon and ask the hairdresser to cut off their hair into that blunt, just-below-the-ears style. Many hairdressers flat out refused to perform the shocking and highly controversial request And some didn’t know how to do it since they’d only ever used their shears on long hair¨(History Flapper). Although many barbers refused the ¾ soon became the typical cut for flappers these care free women enjoyed spending little time taking care of their hair as it meant they had more time to go out and have fun. As flappers began to change the typical appearance of women through fashion and hairstyles they also changed makeup. It is believed that lack of variety and tools played a big part in the simple makeup women wore before nineteen twenty because after new innovations makeup became more popular..”The tubes, brushes, and compacts we take for granted today had not yet been invented. Innovations in cosmetics in…

In order to take a stance on circumcision, one must know some things about circumcisions. A circumcision is a procedure done to male patients. The doctor conducting the procedure first numbs the penis. Then the doctor grabs the prepuce (foreskin) and tears the synechia apart. The prepuce is held and a vertical slit is cut into the bottoms side of it. A device is laid over the prepuce, and the excess skin is cut off using a scalpel or surgical scissors. This procedure removes about one third of the penile skin, takes ten or so minutes to complete, and is often not felt, with the exception of the initial numbing, by the baby boy. Circumcisions are helpful in improving the quality of hygiene, prevention of some diseases, and his sexual partner’s health.…

Today I see so many of my sista's going natural, for the "look" natural movement is becoming a trend and not what being natural is truly about. Today the "natural hair movement" is just that it's a "natural hair movement" (period). Its all about what you look like on the outside and not who you are on the inside. People spend countless hours focusing on getting the "natural look" right rather than focusing on the inside of who you really are.…

    Male Circumcision

Circumcision is most commonly practiced by religious people, like the Muslims and Jews. It is thought that circumcision began as a Phoenician custom. Historians claim they found wall carvings depicting it done. They even found Pharaoh Mummies with their foreskins removed and others intact. Interestingly, the United States of America has embraced this procedure with open arms, but not for the same reason as the Muslim and Jewish world has. In the late eighteenth hundreds it became widely popular with the general public, with doctors attesting to it as a way to discourage masturbation. Later on, it was commercialized as a medical benefit for men that prevented infections and for hygienic purposes. Ethnic groups such as the aboriginals Australasians and sub- Saharan Africans took part in this practice for many years for non- religious reasons but rather social acceptance and status.…
