Lasik Eye Surgery Informative Speech

The Informative speech is designed to explain a subject, person or places to its audience. It is also used to explain complex materials, by making it easy to an audience to understand the subject. For my informative speech, I decided to inform my audience on the topic of LASIK eye surgery. I personally chose to do this subject since I personally had the procedure done and knew about the subject without having to do much research. I decided to inform my audience on the basic overview of Lasik eye surgery, basic criteria that must be met to have the procedure done and finally some of the possible complications of LASIK. As with any type of speech, formal or informal I seem to struggle with communication anxiety. I have learned about myself that even though I fully prepare myself for the speech, I still struggle with some types of anxiety right before I have to give the presentation. Most of the times before presenting a speech I begin to think too
The primary purpose of using quotes in our speech is done to give our speech more credibility. By acquiring in depth knowledge of our subject we were able to obtain facts, figures, testimonies or examples. For my speech it was very easy to find credible sources, as many articles that I found were written by well-known doctors who specialized in LASIK Eye surgery. From my previous speech I tried to give a more in depth explanation of the subject compared to the ceremonial speech where I only listed the reasons why were celebrating the individual. I felt this was necessary in order to leave my audience with a lasting though. I also intended to do this in order to make sure I presented enough information and no just boring facts. I also see this as one of the best parts of my speech, I say this because when I was presenting, I could see all my audience and in their facial expressions I could tell that they were interested in the
