CLASS ASSIGNMENT - 3

My Vision, My Dreams – How I like to see myself after five years?

“NEVER EVER GIVE UP “is something I have always acknowledged in my life. Being the son of an Army Officer, I had an environment of virtues and discipline right from my childhood. Getting educated from an Army School for 8 years did not mean that I had just acquired education pertaining to academics, on the contrary, I got holistic guidance my from teachers. From the very beginning I got to know about the basic nuances of leadership, team building, getting best out of people and believing in myself and my abilities. I learnt that criticisms are actually a potential for improvement and hence was able to refine my personality and work with every step of learning.
In class 9th, I was given the responsibility of leading my house as its Captain in the School-Council system. The responsibility required ensuring proper code of conduct in the daily morning assembly for the entire school from Class 1 to 9 for about 400 students; here I had a good exposure on man management skills. Organizing and participating in quiz competitions, extempore, skit and song competitions enhanced my planning skills. It was under my leadership that my house secured the best house trophy that year. My training skills were put to test when I had to build a team for the Inter-Army School Quiz Competition, being the senior most member of the team and having represented the school in the past.
In my school days, being committed to my work, I was always amongst the top 10 of the class. But my “Never Give Up” attitude gave results when I topped in the Class 9th. Not resting on the laurels of this achievement, I worked hard to do well in my 10th as well. With constant hard work, I made it to Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology, which is amongst the top colleges in the country, in my very first attempt. Even in my college, I have been

Therefore, no matter the goal you are trying to reach, always know failure comes with the enjoyment of success. If I felt like a failure after finding out I did not receive the opportunity to be accepted into the school, I would not have been able to push myself to become greater. Try and you shall succeed. If being successful or achieving a goal was easy; many people would be successful already. However, since being successful or achieving a goal takes a great deal of time and comes with failure; some people rather give up than keep on…

“Never give up, and be confident in what you do. There may be tough times, but the difficulties which gave you face will make you more determined to achieve your objectives and to win against all odds.” This was what women’s Brazilian soccer star Marta once advised. Never giving up may sound like a goal that is impossible to reach in reality. Although that may be true, in literature there are characters who exhibit it ideally. For instance, Joan Bauer’s short story “A Letter from the Fringe” introduces a figure who showcases these traits. On a somber day, Dana, the protagonist, a high school student at Bronley High was tormented by bullies alongside her friend Sally for being overweight. Although, it seemed as if her heart had been torn out and thrown to the side, she was capable of forcing the two tyrants to flee. Afterwards, she insisted that they had no right to…

But when we do not give up, at the end of the tunnel, there is always light, and it only benefits us. Sometimes we are put in tough situations our self, for example, a student may be doing badly on his/her tests and assignments, but instead of deciding to just drop out of school, if he or she has perseverance and persistence, he/she will continue to study harder, focus in class more, and ask for extra help. Eventually their hard work will pay off, and the student will start to accomplish higher grades on his/her tests and…

Leadership means many things to different people, and as a student of the Marine Corps, I have studied many of them. I know the traits, the principles, the roles, and the concepts. I have read of the greatest leaders in the world, and of ones that led their men to pointless slaughter. I have personally worked for men I would follow to hell, and ones I would feel safer around if they were locked in a cell. From all this, I have learned and absorbed, and I find on a daily basis the biggest part of leadership is simply to lead from the front.…

Never giving up in tough situations can really bring you far. If you persevere. If you think it through. If you know what might happen if you don’t continue on with what you are doing. As a matter of fact, I was put in a few situations where I was about to give up, but I didn’t because I thought it through and figured out what I could accomplish if I continued. For example, when I was hunting.…

“Never give up”. This has been my mantra since ninth grade. Whether it was in school, sports, dance or just life in general. During elementary and middle school as well as in the beginning of high school, academics was a serious struggle for me. School was a constant uphill battle. I always had this feeling that I wasn't good enough or smart enough. In classes I got anxiety that teachers would call on me, and I would incorrectly answer the question. I felt I would embarrass myself if I got the question wrong. This, in turn led to self doubt. I would compare myself to other students who often complained if they got a 85 on a test. I always felt satisfied if I got a 85 because that grade of 85 was like a hundred to me. I was often ashamed of…
