1) Upon completing the assessment to determine my top 5 strengths, I envisioned myself as a strong leader for perhaps the first time in my life. The assessment brought out my personality traits in a manner that was tangible and put extrinsic meaning to my thoughts and decision making processes. It helped me define my talents and strengths as opposed to focusing on my weaknesses. The implication being that I am not a finished product as a person, I can still get better, it showed me specific areas in which I have the potential to develop great strengths.
2) After conducting the assessment, I realized that I had many strengths that can be applied in a leadership role. I have always been more introverted than extroverted and I felt like that was holding me back as someone can lead other people. I always felt as if I was more of a follower than a leader. The assessment showed that I have many strengths; strengths that are applicable to any strong leader. Strengths that, when applied, can shape me into a strong leader. I felt reassured after completing the assessment. I felt as if my personality traits, along with hard work would translate into, I, becoming a stronger person and a better leader.
3) The assessment showed that my top 5 strengths are Intellection, Self-assurance, Analytical, Ideation, and Deliberative. Armed with this new knowledge of my potential strengths as a person, I could be more thoughtful in my thoughts and actions as a leader knowing that I possess qualities that translate into effective leadership. It would increase my confidence in my abilities. It would allow me to brand myself better in situations where I need to reinforce my leadership style.
