Learning-Style Inventory Test
Report on the Results of your Inventories.
I took the learning style inventory test and the results showed I am an auditory learner. Moreover, I remember information easily when the information is given through someone speaking or by sounds. My understanding from taking the test is that the methods of auditory learning are musical notes, voice recordings or chants to remember the information being shared.
Indicate if you are Surprised by the results, or if you affirm the findings
My results have not surprised me, as I learn by hearing, listening and watching others do things. Therefore, I have to affirm that the result proves correctly my learning-style to be that of an auditory learner.

The aural learner would benefit best when having material explained to them. Written words to them are not as easily retained or preferred as when having the material explained. This type of learner prefers to listen rather than take notes. Aural learners benefit when they are able to discuss the information needing to be learned.…

People have different learning style and personality type and based on my findings from the multiple pathways to learning assessment, three learning styles were identified. The three leaning styles identified were: musical, naturalistic and bodily/kinesthetic. The musical learning style was the first finding in my assessment and based on Howard Gardner, the musical learner “creates rhythms out of words, beat out of rhythms with hand or stick, play instrumental Music/write raps, put new material to songs you already know and take music breaks”.(eBook collection, keys to college studying: become an active…

Following the assessment, the preferred learning strategy was a kinesthetic learner, close to being a multimodal. The score was one point different between a kinesthetic learner and an auditory learner. I do tend to use my hands, use all my senses, talk out loud and repeat myself, I prefer doing experiments and hands on activities. I also have good hand-eye coordination that most kinesthetic learners tend to…

An auditory learner, learns best through listening and through what they hear. Unlike visual learners who need instructions to be demonstrated, auditory learners prefer their instructions to be verbal and well explained. Also, too much noise could be a distraction in a classroom for a visual learner. Auditory learners tend to concentrate better when they have soft music playing in the background. A kinesthetic learner tends to learn best through movement and activities.…

Auditory Learners and their piece to the puzzle on one style of learning. It’s about going hands on. Remembering a picture in your head or possibly reading aloud because you feel like you are going to learn faster then reading silently. Will this type of learning style help an online college student? It would seem that an auditory learner would have to change or alter their learning style based upon this method of delivery.…

    | My preferred general learning style is auditory, which means I do best by hearing. However, I am considered a multi-sensory learner. There are times where I learn best by doing, and then there are other circumstances where I learn best by observation. I am flexible and my preferred learning style really boils down to, it depends on the environment, task, and information being presented.…

The author tends to strongly prefer kinesthetic or physical touch style methods and would therefore, benefit from reading their notes aloud, making flash cards, acting out or role playing scenarios. Reading and studying case studies would be helpful to see concepts in action. Both writing and reciting answers aloud would be helpful when preparing for exams or assignments. Talking about information studied in class is very helpful to this learner as they need to speak about how they interpret the information while also listening to another aural person speak the information back to them. It is interesting that the author scored higher in aural but currently prefers kinesthetic and visual strategies for…

Answering the questions from the Learning Style Inventory I established that my learning style is visual. This did not surprise me for I tend to remember faces rather than names and remembering information is vital when I have a textbook, visual aids, and written information (Bethel University, 2013, p. 19). Being a visual learner indicates that I learn with my eyes to retain the knowledge needed. This perhaps is beneficial because it requires me to understand my learning abilities to succeed in any aspect in life. In my personal and professional life being a visual learner provides me the ability to learn challenging and difficult tasks and skills. Taking on a class or subject would be simple by knowing that visual learners operate by observing…

They tend to read aloud and prefer listening to a lecture rather than reading a text. They tend to prefer the telephone over face-to-face conversation and utilize technical help-lines when in need of assistance. They are easily distracted by noises or sounds. When bored, they may hum or talk to themselves (Rose). Auditory learners may not be able to color coordinate their clothes, but they can explain what they are wearing and why (Three Different Styles). Those who learn by hearing or listening typically tend to have a good singing voice, can play a musical instrument or can easily identify the sounds of individual instruments. Music may invoke strong emotions in an auditory learner or they may notice the background music when watching a movie or television show. They may use phrase such as "That sounds about right" or "That 's music to my ears (advanogy.com)." They tend to forget faces but remember names or what was talked…
