Lenora Humphrey Case Summary
On the above date the worker met with above NJS Participants and Non NJS participants. Lenora Humphrey Case Practice Specialist accompanied the worker to the visit. Upon arrival Ms. Kochan was not home. Aiden the nanny was home. Aiden invited the workers in the home. The worker asked if the family was home. He told the worker that Ms. Kochan was on her way but the boys were inside. Aiden told the worker that it was ok for them enter the home. The workers agreed to enter the home.

The worker observe the children to be eating pizza and Aiden was cleaning the home. The worker was able to speak to Stephen in the living room. It should be noted that normally the workers speak to the boys in private rooms Aiden the nanny instructed the workers to

Kochan enter the bathroom in her room. She came out and was shocked. She shared that Christopher made a mess. She stated this is why she was smelling a foul smelled. Ms. Kochan told the worker that Christopher is struggling in school. She stated that he is not getting any academics in school because the school cannot manage his behavior. She stated that Christopher does not like his aide. She stated that he has attacked her. She stated that Michael told her that his mother that he saw Christopher in the hallways. She stated that Christopher is exhibiting self-injury behaviors. She stated that the district is refusing to put him in a different setting. She stated that she has had a meeting and the school urging them to put Christopher in a different school setting. She stated that Melissa Christopher's therapist recommended a school call Celebrate the Children (CTC) is a non-profit, state-approved private school, which serves a diverse range of students ages 3-21 with autism and other challenges in relating and communicating. She stated that she has a friend who child is on the spectrum and he had a behavioral in school and instantly the school stated that he was not appropriate. She stated that Rockaway School District does not like sending children out of district. She stated that she is fighting to get her some the appropriated services. She stated that she had a meeting with the school regarding Christopher IEP. She stated the meeting went well. Stated that towards the end the individual that was taking the notes computer mess up and she loss all the notes. She stated that when she received the paperwork and notes from the meeting, the notes was not what they agreed on. She stated she brought this issues up and was told that they would add the parents’ concerns as an attachment to the EIP. Ms. Kochan stated that she wants it to be a part of the IEP.
