In the reading, “Let it Snow” the author tries to convey a very strong approach. The story makes certain points within the children and the mother. The story talks about how the children had a few snow days in a row and they were extremely excited about it. Come to find out, the mother was not excited at all. The children take different approaches to try and get the mother to come outside and let them back in the house. There are several different symbols in the story, also there is meaning without the writing and a lot of readers have certain criticism about the story.

Each perspective can be taken different ways. There will always reader response criticism for every story someone reads. There are different ways that this story can be taken. The writer had a very strong approach during this writing. It made every reader think and understand exactly the way the children have grown up. Also it shows how the parents have raised these children. Each part in the story, someone can put himself or herself in that place. The part with the little girl going to lie in the road seemed very wrong at first, but they were just trying to get the mothers attention long enough to let them inside. All the children wanted during the whole story was for their mother’s love and attention and it took them a while to finally get it. An example in real life with this happening could be, a child getting in a lot of trouble at school. Usually the child never gets in trouble but maybe they wanted their parents attention.
