A conceptual model that describes the phases involved in an information system development project, from an initial feasibility study through maintenance of the completed application.
PLANNING PHASE
MAINTENANCE PHASE
IMPLEMENTATION PHASE
ANALYSIS PHASE
DESIGN PHASE

PLANNING PHASE A process of defining clear, discrete activities and the work need to complete each activity within a single project. The proponents define what system is to be evaluated, which is the computerized library system for Sacred Heart Academy. Currently, Sacred Heart Academy uses manual process when it comes to their library transactions. The proponents planned to develop a computerized system that will help them to have a fast and easier procedure in their library.
ANALYSIS PHASE Understand and document the business needs Design the solution system based on the requirements defined and decisions made during the analysis phase and the processing requirements of the new system.

The proponents gathered all information to establish the proposed system. Interviewing is the most common method of gathering information or data from user. Also, researching through internet is a big help and this will serve as a guide to tool to make this study effective. The proponents scheduled an interview to Ms. Connie Enriquez (Librarian) of Sacred Heart Academy.
DESIGN PHASE Design the solution system based on the requirements defined and decisions made during the analysis phase.
The proponents design how the software will meet its requirements in the design of the system. It is in the design phase that the researchers have given a chance to explore, to create and to invent. The purposed of the design phase is to specify a particular software system that will meet the started requirements. And in this study, the proponents will use Visual Basic 6.0 in other to build a Computerized Library System for Sacred Heart

The purpose of this paper is to incorporate the transition from the design to the implementation phase. The implementation phase is the fourth phase of the system development life cycle. This phase is refers to as the decisive moment. All the work that has been done up to this point to bring an idea to realty is coming to life. This phase is most expensive and time-consuming of the previous three phases. The work done in this phase is tedious, and requires the strictest focus to the attention of detail. The major activities involved in this area are coding, testing, installation, documentation, training, and support. The purpose for this these activities are to transform the work from the previous phase into a physical working system that can process the specific task for the information management office for which it was created.…

All projects are not the equal so it is essential to define the cost, goals and schedule that is necessary for the project at hand (Johnson, 2012). The system analyst is the connector between the client and the technical team of software developers and programmers (Guille, 2007). Analyst understands the client 's needs from the proposed system but also is able to resolve technical queries and issues that the team may face while developing project (Guille, 2007). The responsibility of the software developer is to develop a software related development for the client by been involved in the dynamic innovation in sections that involve development and system integration (Guille, 2007). After the developer has developed the software/application the system tester, extensive testing is done to show the outcome of the application (Johnson, 2012). Any flaws or discrepancies will be corrected to ensure that the stakeholder/business requirements are been fulfilled (Johnson, 2012). The first step is to establish two committees which are the steering and project committees. As stated by Neal (1993) “steering committee oversees the project, provide policy guidance, make major decisions, and allocate budget expenses. The project committee conducts assessment needs, identify system requirements, perform daily functions, train personnel, and implement the system that was chosen.” The second step is to look at the plan and how it is laid out, and the amount of work. Third step is used in sending the proposal to a specific vendor. There are three phases used in the process for selecting an information system. The phases are detecting the need for change in the information system, select an implementation solution, and choose a supplier. All these phases are important when trying to have the right information system. With detecting the need for change in the information system they have to diagnosis the current situation.…
