When a girl reaches the age of puberty her self-confidence drops significantly. The advertisement #LikeAGirl by Always shows the stereotypes people use of girls during that emotional time. The commercial is set up like it is for an audition. Throughout the commercial they have different people come in for their “audition”. They have older teenagers from different sexes asked the same couple questions separately, “Show me what it looks like to run ‘like a girl’, show me what it looks like to fight ‘like a girl’, now throw ‘like a girl’.” The commercial shows the different stereotypes first, each of the older teenagers runs the same way, their arms flailing carelessly, squealing, and fixing their hair. Next, they ask young girls the same thing. Their response was different; they start running as hard as they can, punching the air with great passion, and throwing the imaginary ball as far as they could. The screen then shows “When did doing something ‘like a girl’ become an insult?” The last half of this commercial shows the people that made fun of girls and how they realized what they did was wrong. The director asks them “So when they are in that vulnerable time between 10 and 12 how do you think that affects them?” this makes them realize that what they did was wrong. This advertisement is to keep girls’ confidence high during puberty and after. The phrase ‘like a girl’ can be demeaning towards girls and women, it can make a huge impact on girls and women of all ages.     The rhetorical device Antony took hold of throughout his persuasive argument is verbal irony. The use of verbal irony in his speech is so strong that it borders on sarcasm. "Friends, Romans, countrymen, lend me your ears/I come to bury Ceasar, not to praise him." (3.2.81-82) says Antony when introducing himself to the crowd. The use of verbal irony is exemplified in this quote with the use of “Friend” He addresses the plebeians as "Friends" with the purpose of persuading them into believing that they were equal, and that he just wanted to say farewell Caesar, even though there is a clear distinction between Antony and the Plebeians. As his speech develops, Antony begins to plant the seed of doubt and anger in the Plebeians’ hearts towards the conspirators.
