Even though there were clearly visible signs of life coming from Juliet, Romeo being driven by despair thinking that Juliet is dead, he didn’t notice Juliet waking up and without hesitation, drank the poison, ending his life. When a loved one has died, we are all driven by emotion and can’t think straight.
