Joseph Kony was born in Atyak, Uganda and raised a Christian. Now he is one of the most vilified rebel leaders on the planet. Being raised a Christian, he wanted everybody to be a Christian. So, in 1987 he formed a group called the Lord Resistance Army (LRA), which has been at war with the Ugandan government ever since. What Kony and his rebel army do, is take boys and girls away from their parents in the night. The boys are forced to kill their parents, so they have no home to go to. The girls on the other hand are forced to be his own personal sex slaves. (“Joseph Kony“)
Following the information, Kony also makes the boys he kidnaps his soliders, which are used as decoys and targets in battle. In addition, the girls are used as Kony’s wives as well as sex slaves. Both boys and girls are used as pack mules to carry LRA supplies until they are too weak to walk, which then they are killed and left to die. If they don’t listen to Kony, he will cut off their lips, nose, or even their ears. Leaving them with horrible deformities for the rest of their life.
There is a victim, John Ochola, age 25, who survived the rampage of Joseph Kony. John, like it was just yesterday, remembers all of the painful memories. Its was night, when John saw a number of torches from as far. He heard screaming from the village and saw the LRA taking kids. “They arrested many - tying them and lying them on the ground in three lines”, John says. They started smashing peoples heads left and right, then captured John. It was about 7:00 in the morning as they led 35 captives to a bush. Three miles into the walk, all the captives began complaining for food and water. Which Kony denied food and water. Complaint after complaint, Kony got tired of everybody and began to cut
