Nas once said, “visualize the realism of life in actuality; a person’s status depends on salary and my mentality is money orientated.” Does it make you a Marxist if you believe that money controls your “status”? No. It just makes you motivated. Anyone with a mindset of making money or who constantly sets himself or herself up for success will be great. School isn’t the most important thing to focus on. When you go to college you should constantly be trying to make money. The best way to do something is to fail at first. You hear famous people say it all of the time. So instead of trying to choose one path, choose every path. Do as much stuff as you can before you are stuck with one job at the age of 30. When we were in 6th grade we all took world languages. This class gave us a brief understanding of Chinese, Spanish, French and Latin. Not only do I think that it was one of the most helpful classes at Lovett, but also one of the most important. Because Lovett has a small variety of courses unlike Westminster, North Atlanta etc. students settle with classes that they think will be helpful or easy. But how can any of us trust a teacher? Haven’t you noticed in most of your classes, that the teacher is teaching you material that will only help you in life to become a teacher? My advice to everyone here is when you go to college and even further, be proficient with what you strive for. Everything you do should be to further benefit yourself.
