I won the award for Best Junior Speaker from forensics that year as well. It was a challenge to balance it all, but I took on the challenge and I loved it. I still continue all of these activities my Senior year. During my Junior year I also was elected into the chair of Vice President of Student Council and I was accepted into the National Honor Society. I continued to give back to the community by volunteering for the Friends Program and mentoring an elementary school child. That was probably one of my favorite experiences, to be able to be such a large part of a child's life was immensely rewarding.I’m still a member to this day. As my Senior year is quickly coming to an end I have continued to keep up my involved life style being elected the President of Student Council. I am also still maintaining my high academics and balancing not only all the organizations I love, but also a part time job at the Tomahawk Cinema. That is my utter dream. I know, however, that it will not come easy, and I am ready and willing for the challenge. As I’ve shown over my years in school, I don’t shy away from a challenge and pushing myself. It is that dedication that I feel makes me deserving of a scholarship from the Knight Owls Snowmobile group. Even though my parents do make enough money to live comfortably, they simply cannot pay for all of my schooling. They’re going to help as much as they can, but I’m going to have to come up with almost 10,000 a year on my own. I will be working hard for the rest of this year and into the beginning of college to try to save up as much as I can. However, without some scholarship help my dreams simply will not be able to come true. College is a great expense, and it simply can’t be done with just my parents help. With hard work, dedication, and a little help from scholarships, I know, however, that I can get myself through college and on to so many better things. You can be certain that with my education I will be making the world a better
