Ever since my freshman year of high school, I’ve wanted to be a member of the National Honors Society. Being a part of the National Honors Society meant that I would have done well in both my studies and contributing time in my community. In order to reach my goal, I took multiple honors and AP classes to enhance my knowledge. These classes were indeed rigorous and there were many occurrences where I stayed up late doing homework or studying. During these times I felt like giving up, but the passion I had for conquering my goal burnt too brightly. The hard work I’ve placed on my studies has certainly paid off because now I’m at the top 5% in my class with a 3.8 GPA. Also throughout I’ve helped my community in multiple ways such as volunteering…
Many people have great accomplishments in their life but as a young adult I have only lived a mere eighteen years. I have accomplished many awards through sports and academics that would probably be something to brag about. Accomplishments through academics is what most people would write a college application essay on but being different I am going to write of an accomplishment that not many people can say they have.…
There are many accomplishments in my life of which I am proud, however there are two for which I am especially proud. Those being, having the opportunity to play varsity shortstop in high school, and having good enough grades to be nominated for, and to be admitted into, the National Honor Society. These accomplishments make me proud because they are goals that I was able to set and accomplish for myself. These are successes that not everyone can say that they have achieved.…
To be chosen as one of the candidates for National Junior Honor Society is a big honor on my part. Being in this program can open many locked doors for me. All year I’ve worked hard to complete three goals. My goals were to be in a school performance, to become a member of National Junior Honor Society, and to pass all of my classes. Well by right now these goals that I have just listed have been completed and some is about to come true. No word in the English dictionary can explain the way I feel.Although through the year I had surplus of school work I found time to volunteer my services. Must of the time I volunteer at my church a place I go very frequently. Every weekend my family and I clean the church til it sparkle. I also help at my aunt’s local 99 cent store. I usually organize the shelves, and sweep the floor, bag items for the customers and sometime I work the cash register. I helped many of my teachers over this and last year. I help to put up and tear down bulletin boards, grade papers and put it in the computer system and fix up there rooms. I’ve given community service to A&P, 99 cents stores, and the Pentecostal Gospel Tabernacle of Christ, and the seventh grade teachers.I have many short and long term goals which I see coming in the future. One short time goal is to graduate and get accepted to a medical high school. I want to leave I.S.__Q as a student that will be remembered for a long time. A next one of my short term goal is to get in NJHS in eighth grade. A long term goal that I have is to become a doctor that help find antidotes to vary diseases killing people today. A next one of my long term goals is to Throughout my short life I have had many accomplishments. Being able to say that I am on Nation Junior Honor Society will be the biggest accomplishment yet. This year I have made a promise to keep good grades and to stay on track. I am so proud of myself for keeping that promised. Thanks to all my handwork and dedication I can say I am a…
Having grown up in a single parent home with two sisters who did not complete high school, made the pressure for me to succeed unimaginable. The constant reminder of achieving greatness has stuck with me since I was eight years old. Throughout middle school I was top of my class, in high school I graduated cum laude with a 4.4 GPA and currently in my 1st year of college I am top of my intermediate/college algebra class, I scored the highest grade out of all 5 of my psychology teachers classes, and I have an A in my Philosophy class. My educational goals consist of gaining knowledge throughout my entire life, achieving higher than my goals, being as involved as I can possibly be with my college/ community, and continuing to prosper. Ever since…
There are several goals I have set for myself in college; I aspire to make the dean's-list in all the years I attend college, I anticipate participating in a minimum of two organizations which can get me more absorbed in the community, and finally, I want to become involved with the student body, and attend as many school sponsored events as I can. In my junior year, when I heard I made the honor roll at my high school, I was overcome with a feeling of fulfillment. This was the first time I had made the honor roll and with this achievement was a feeling of pride for the work I put in, and for the way the work reflected in my grades. But, I stayed hungry and kept working to maintain this honor, and I finished on the honor role for the entirety…
It’s easy to make a goal rather than to achieve it. However, with determination one can succeed in accomplishing it. I have accomplished one of many goals in my list and that's to attend college. In my family not a lot attended college or even finished high school, so accomplishing this goal is a big subject of matter to my family.Getting this far is even a big accomplishment in my eye’s, especially when you break free from an assembly line of generations that never had attended college. The feeling is still overwhelming, mainly because I’m the first of many generations in my family to accomplish something big like…
4. What do you feel is your most significant accomplishment? My most significant accomplishment is stepping out of my comfort zone freshman year and joining the Forensics team. I no longer have a fear of public speaking in front of people whom I don't know.…
Not only do I work very hard to achieve my goals, but I take pride in my accomplishments. I am never happy with something that I know is less than my best. I strive for excellence always. Throughout my high school career I have been on the high honor role every marking period, and I have been student of the month for at least one month each year. At the end of my sophomore year I ranked as number 7 in my class. Also, my GPA has never gone below 4.0 and I have never received a grade less than a B+. I believe that the fact that I was nominated to be a member of the National Honor Society shows my academic achievement in itself.…
As of now, I have placed in soccer tournaments with various soccer clubs (some of them in the premier division, which is the highest division in MOSA), won elementary school chess tournaments, won the "Catena Fun Run" for my age group, and got the most noteworthy presidential grant there is when I graduated fifth grade. I self-taught myself the piano and can play many classical pieces such as "Turkish March" and "Nutcracker", am in honors math and the gifted and talented program, made "Back in Black" band for my saxophone, and got to go to all the track meets for the 200 meter run, even winning one. Last of all, I received all A+s in every subject for every marking period in 7th grade. Each and every one of these achievements is a piece of my story, or my legacy, and could be considered as great accomplishments for one of my age. Obviously, though, I still have a lot more room to accomplish more and grow, and add bits of success to my legacy. I would like to have the success of being accepted into Biotec, and later go on to become a doctor of some sort. As I proceed with my life, I would also want accomplishments in my interests, activities, and schooling to become part of my legacy as well. However, accomplishments are great, but something else is an important part of your legacy- change. As of now, I haven't really made any immense or significant changes to the school or world. I mean, with everything you accomplish you definitely alter your school and world in some small way, but when I think of a great big change, I think of something that positively impacts everyone in a specific group, such as a school or world. This is why again, I don’t think I have made any huge changes as of now, but I would like to and without a doubt plan on doing so in the future. That's part of the reason I want to become a doctor- with every person they help heal, those people can get back on their feet and…
Most students have denied praise from others because of the small voice in the back of their mind telling them that they could have done better but my ultimate goal that I will complete while at University of Florida is to know that I gave all I could and got the desired results. I will have to mentally prepare myself for the work and effort I will have to put forth in order to succeed. This sense of accomplishment is not only from academics but can also emerge from giving myself better health or breaking out of my shell…
Through life I've discovered many things with myself and accoplished many things. This past year my goal was to get high honors because, I have never goton my GPA that high honors and that was such a big accomplishment for me. An award that I was proud of was when I got my citizen ship award. That award proved to me that I was kind, helpfull, and ect. Even tho i already knew that stuff about me, but when i was presented that award in front of the whole school everyone knew. As you know I play sports, if you didn't know well, now you do. So, I play a lot of sports and I am actual pretty good at most sports. Through out the years that I've played sports I've MVP, I've been the captain of teams too. But through out the years I've notice that I…
Education has always been one of the most important things to me, and I am dedicated to learn as much as humanly possible. Throughout my high school career I have challenged myself by completing six advanced placement classes and taking other honors classes. I have taken these classes as a way to help guide myself for what is to come in the future in college. I was inducted into the National Honors Society during my junior year of high school, and I graduated with honors. Both of these successes are the two greatest accomplishments of my high school career. These two achievements prove how dedicated I was, and still am, to getting the best education I could. My quality of dedication will stick with me throughout my future endeavors.…
I graduated with in the top 5 percent of my class. I was 13th out of 411 students, and had a GPA of 4.5 on a 5.0 scale. All those hours of dedication to my studies payed off because I gradated as an academic honor student and received all “A’s” my senior year. I took advance college level courses throughout high school career and received enough hours to qualify as a sophomore at UNT. My good grades and extra-curricular activities allowed me to receive many scholarships to fund my education at…
I am proud of this accomplishment because I almost allowed people to discourage me from doing something that could be beneficial because they didn't want to change the tradition. Some traditions can be changed for the better. I am a self motivated student who seeks to make a real difference…
