Macharles Relate To Tuesday Of The Other Yemen
I am comparing the short stories of ¨Charles¨ to ¨Tuesday of the Other June.¨ They are bullying people physically and verbally. Except at the end they both become nice and kind and stop being mean.
This is some of the ways they bullied people. On the first day of school Charles started physically being mean to people. Some examples of what Charles did is hit and kicked the teacher, he also told a little girl to swear. The Other June started being mean to June at swimming lessons. She was calling June ¨Fish Eyes, Buffalo Brains, and Turkey Nose.¨ This is how and where they bullied people.
Their parents found out what they did, and they weren´t happy. Laurie kept telling his parents that there was a kid named Charles that was being mean. They

When they were younger they stuck together and even though they had problems they had faith in their parents. Their parents made them strong and gave them a lot of experiences. Some of which would be being able to pet a real tiger, sleeping under the stars in the desert, and many more. At times it made it seem like the kids were the most wonderful, important part of their parents’ lives, but at others it seemed like they were either too busy to be parents or had better things to do with more important things. When they were younger they believed that the adventures they were going on were actually that, but it was really the family just needing to move to stay away from certain people and unpaid bills. But for all of the good experiences there was also a not so great experience. Their dad was drunk for a lot of their life and when he was drunk he would yell at them and not be a good father. He took Jeannette to a bar and pretty much let a stranger do anything he wanted with her just to get some money. Their mom would have mental break-down type of things and the kids would have to do everything around the house. It seemed like at times their dad would do anything just to get some money for alcohol or who knows what; he would even take the money that the kids needed to buy food and pay the bills, which the kids shouldn’t have to be worried…

The first example of bullying is sardonic comments from George to his friend Lennie. George is intelligent and a leader; Lennie is neither. George likes to make fun of Lennie and point out his mental weakness. “Lennie looked timidly over to him… ‘Where we goin’ , George?’ The little man jerked down the brim of his hat and scowled over at Lennie. ‘So you forgot that awready, did you? I gotta tell you again, do I? Jesus Christ, you’re a crazy bastard!” (pg 4) This type of denigrating conversation happens over and over throughout the novel. George is a good friend but also a bully. Lennie looks up to George as a friend and a leader, and tries to impress him. Another example of bullying is when boss gets mad and takes it out on Crook. “…The boss gives him hell when he’s mad.” (pg 19-20).…
