my post-high school plans. The campus was stunning it felt as if I found my new home. After that journey was over, it continued online, reading about the dance program and looking at all the different performances that are done throughout the year. Recently, I read about Lauren Smith on your website and it inspired me, I also want to double major in Dance and Exercise science and health. Reading that article helped me believe that I would be able to have to do a double major. Two years ago I fractured my lower back and later in that year I fractured my sesamoid bone. Being told by a doctor that you may never dance again is devastating. Determination and positivity are what helped me come back so quickly, this shocked my teachers, doctors, and my fellow dancers. I want to take this experience and continue to grow with my understanding of dance and become an even better performer. Later on, when I’m no longer dancing I want to share that knowledge with other dancers, continue the legacy of dance. Also, teaching young dancers about injury prevention and how to recover from an injury. This is where the physical therapist half of my career will fall into place.
