Malessica's Experience: A Fictional Narrative

An entire week had passed since Isaac went to Malessica’s manor. Despite having a very busy week, he had fully recovered from his fights Ajax and Yuri. Becoming an Inheritor made his life seem much more busier. All he remembered from the last week were televised interviews back to back. It became physically and mentally exhausting, managing to get a few days of down time to relax. Today was the day that his training was finally beginning. Isaac was more nervous than excited, but he kept his emotions inside, waiting for Malessica and Sabra.

Isaac had been sitting on his front porch deep thinking about the things that he’d possibly learn. Remembering that his opponents usually moved faster than he could react, Reflexes and speed was the two things he wanted to focus on. His

The weather felt perfect for training, stretching his arms out. The screen door opened as his mother stepped out to the front porch. She had a smile on her face, looking over to him.

“Isaac honey, are you excited for your training?” She asked.

“Yeah.” Isaac said. “I’m a little nervous though, it might not go well.”

“If you’re thinking like that, it’ll never go well.” She said, poking his forehead.

“You’re right mom. It’ll probably go well.” Isaac said.

“Of course I’m right.” His mother said. “You and Malessica better work hard if you want results.”

When his mother mentioned Malessica, He noticed that Malessica hadn’t arrived yet, he could only hope that he week went well and that she avoided the Sangrine Syndicate all week. Knowing how excited she was for the training, he could imagine her putting in her all. His mother sat there with him, waited for her to show up. Not remembering a single thing about Sabra, he could only imagine what she was like. Remembering she owned a flower shop, he imagined her to be a kind woman just like his mother.     First of all, Isaac makes a deal with Joseph where if Isaac can win the heart of Gertrudis for Joseph, he will let Isaac be free, although if Isaac is not successful his destiny will lead to death. When discussing the deal Joseph states, ““I warn you Isaac. Moreover, he takes a chance at catching up with the Provveditore by rowing a skiff towards it. He, “concentrated on rowing with equal strength on both oars, [and] it followed the course he set toward the Provveditore” (274). Isaac hears a couple of soldiers before he starts rowing, he waits for a few minutes then come up with a plan to sneak out without them seeing him. He takes a chance with his life; as if he gets caught again he will die for sure, though he successfully rows away from the soldier and catches up to the Provveditore ship to head home to Hannah. Lastly, when offered a choice by the Rabbi to choose between his wife and not coming back home and coming home as a divorced man, Isaac chooses his wife. As hector describes to Isaac about his situation, he tells him, “The Rabbi has finally been able to raise the money for your ransom from private benefactors, but it is conditional upon your…divorcing Hannah” (226). Isaac is angered by the choices as he is determined to stay and love Hannah forever, even if it means refusing the Rabbis help to get home.
