He’s been found! I can feel the killing intent outside the spirit tree. He should’ve been able to hide longer. The mana density isn’t high enough in the area to reveal itself. He hasn’t lived long enough to truly know this world.
Is that a mage? There shouldn’t be one out this far. Can I use him? He seems powerful enough to take on this beast, but then again some of these humans are stupid with magic. I don’t want him out here while that thing is. I come out of the spirit tree, and I see it. A Shadow Dragon. Hunters of the Dragons. They hunt all manner of creature, but they focus on things that will be able to overwhelm them in the future. This one is far older than any I’ve seen before.
As soon as I see it I attack, no use waiting, and I might be able to get help from the mage. I rush right under his chest and plunge my claws into his armored body. The dragon roars in anger and strikes back, missing by a hair. I dash from under him, and onto his back, clawing him as I go. The mage appears suddenly at the edge of the trees. As I looked over to see the mage casting a spell against the dragon, it surprises me. It used mana to speed up. Dragons shouldn’t be able to do that. I guess since I met Jazz everything impossible just happens....
Anyway, the dragon strikes me with its right claw, slamming me against the spirit tree. It shatters. That shouldn’t be possible. Spirit wood can't be broken without extreme preparation. A full grown tree should be nigh impenetrable. Well, that's another thing to add to the
