Discuss the concept of leadership brands and, with reference to particular firms, demonstrate how high performance companies develop exceptional managers
Many of us might already have a Leadership brand ourselves. But the question is do we have the right one?
This concept of leadership brand is extremely significant today. A leadership brand portrays our identity, distinctiveness, and uniqueness as a leader. Leadership brand basically is the entire set worth, usefulness and the value; we as an individual have to offer.
In case, if we have the incorrect leadership brand for the position we desire for, or the position we currently have, then chances are that our work would not have that impact we want it to have or it could have potentially. Hence a robust and strong leadership brand enables us to convey everything that is effective and powerful about us and our leadership skills to our co-employees, employers and the society that in turn helps us to generate the maximum value out of everything we do at that job position.
Additionally, the significance of knowing and selecting a leadership brand is that it enables us to focus and concentrate. This means that if we know what we want to be known for in our lives, professional life in this case, then it becomes way easier and simpler to analyze, evaluate, and drop projects and tasks if they fail to help us deliver on that brand of ours. (Smallwood, 2010)
In today’s corporate world, we witness a bunch of organizations that focus on building a leadership brand. Johnson and Johnson, who had total sales of $74.3 billion in 2014, contend that their primary responsibility is towards the nurses, doctors, patients and all the users of their products and services and their family members. Hence this company is well known for developing and nurturing leaders that help in providing scientifically safe and sound and
