Marist Reflection
Marist is the best match for me. As soon as I stepped foot on Marist Campus for their tour the atmosphere had such an enthusiasm it was contagious, I felt welcomed. The School has the tools and opportunities that allows students to explore and achieve the greatness they yearn for. The programs at Marist shape their students for what the real world entails and skills to carry with them throughout life. The Abroad program and Marist In Manhattan are one of the many positive attributes that set them apart from my other choice schools. Having the opportunity to travel and embrace cultures from all around the world is a gift, to have a chance to experience the world, and create a memory of a lifetime. Just like myself, Marist and I share the same

To start with, I appreciate your accounts you have provided, regarding your experience you have encountered while attending Liberty University, as a psychology undergraduate. Also, your illustration of Harris, provides powerful confirmation, regarding exercising the mind. However, I diligently read your thoughts about comprehending the theories of Algebra and not being able to clench the information. My reply would be, give it all to God and allow Him to use you. And, by talking to Him, you are developing a personal relationship with Him. What is more, Jesus desires your attention. After attending Tarrant county college, I decided to join the Cornerstone Honors program. Over the course of a year I was exposed to the idea of being able to formulate my own ideas through rigorous course work centered, on critical thinking and analytical skills. Following the completion of the program, I was finally confident in myself as an overall person. Over the course of my first year, the Honors Texas government course had created an atmosphere where my peers and I were able to express ourselves in a positive setting and learn from each other’s perspectives. In addition, I learned to have an informed opinion about my own beliefs. As a result, I gained the confidence to run for an officer position for the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.…

This year, I have used my leadership skills to better my school’s National Honor Society chapter. I am an active two year member of National Honor Society, and I was elected by my peers to serve as Vice-President this year. I wanted to serve as Vice-President because I believed that the club had a lot of untapped potential. Having seen friends from other schools talk about the high standards and requirements of their clubs, I believed that my school should meet those standards as well. The four pillars of National Honor Society are Scholarship, Service, Leadership, and Character. My school has an impressive amount of girls who qualify for NHS academically, which fulfills the Scholarship pillar. However, I knew my club could better represent…

Visiting over fifteen schools, I was told that when you found the “right” place you would know it. Ostensibly a bit whimsical, they were correct and Georgia Tech is that place. It began with being warmly greeted by students and staff during the information session. During the session, the MOVE organization, Georgia Tech’s biggest volunteer organization, intrigued me. The organization represents the best qualities I search for in people, kindness and dedication. Furthermore, the opportunities the organization offers, to truly affect change in the community, is incredible. This organization and the students I had the pleasure to meet embody and represent the Georgia Tech motto of progress and service. Moreover, it was fortuitous that there were…

I think the mentor/mentee system could continue to improve. I had a great relationship with my mentor, and my mentee this year, but my middle years I struggled to get to know my mentees. Making the big transition to a new state and a new lifestyle has taught me the importance of branching out. I have learned the benefits of stepping out of your comfort zone in order to try new things and meet new people. It helps you grow as a person and allows you to learn about your passions, likes, dislikes, etc. Being at ASU on my own has taught me a lot about responsibility. No one is there to tell you did wrong if you skip a class or miss an assignment. It is up to you to do your work while meeting…

Chapter 16 of our textbook for class, Teaching Elementary Physical Education: Strategies for the Classroom Teachers is called “Interdisciplinary Strategies for Physical Education”. I felt as though this particular chapter was very “to the point”, but that it was also packed with a lot of information that could be very useful in the classroom. This chapter was about just what the title suggests: ways that you could integrate physical education into everyday classroom activities and learning. I can definitely see myself using some of the stuff that I read about in this chapter in my future classroom.…
