Quality management is the strategy which a business uses to make sure that its product meets customer expectations. Three quality approaches are quality control, quality assurance and total quality management.
Quality control is a process which a business pursues to make sure that the product quality is upheld or upgraded and developed errors are condensed or excluded. Quality control wants the business to create an environment in which both the management and employees make and effort for perfection.
Toyota have also specified that they will approach to automobile production, with focus on quality, with correct quality control. They are putting customers first to revolutionise the automotive industry. Toyota have guaranteed their product with a simple principle “Jidoka, which is a principle that detects when a problem occurs, and stops the production line immediately, preventing defective products from being produced.”
Quality Assurance is when a business ensures that they are providing the best possible quality of a product. Quality assurance focuses on improving the process that is used to create the final result. The parts in quality assurance include the planning, design development, production and service.
Toyota have identified quality assurance and have stated that they will constantly improve and strive in everything they do. “Kaizen, it means continuous improvement, and is the key principle that guides us in our commitment to deliver more customers.”
