Becoming A Master Student

In this essay you learn about time management, some techniques on how to manage your time better, and some different things you could do to be more productive.

To properly manage your time you need to know what time management is. Time management is having the ability to successfully go about your day having a plan of what you want to happen next. You’re going to need to make a schedule. You only have 24 hours a day to work with so use them to your advantage. Start by taking all of the things you can do without and put them aside. Now, focus on the important stuff such as; school, work, meals, etc. Once you have the important things scheduled, you can find spots to put the less important things like, lounging, video games/ T.V., and socializing.

Sometimes you might find yourself not following your schedule and doing things that aren’t necessary. You also might need to take breaks from things like schoolwork. When you’re making your schedule be sure to plan for things like that. If you have a tendency to procrastinate or get distracted, you have some work to do. You might find yourself loosing concentration or focus. At this point you need to think of something to bring your attention back to where it belongs. It might just mean stepping into a different room, or telling your roommate you have a lot of work to do, or setting it aside to finish later. Making a schedule is not there to make you follow rules, it is there to help you remember things that you need to get done to be successful in the future. In conclusion, making a schedule is the best way to manage your time and keep you on track to becoming a successful person. You don’t have to make a schedule either, it just helps you on your path to

Covey believes that planning one’s week out ahead will help him or her concentrate on priorities and “consequently accomplish so much more” (Covey 116). Planning is an asset that limits chaos, forgetfulness, misspent time, and lethargy. For example, students can be more focused on assignments and exams instead of worrying about when they will be able to do their laundry. To further elaborate, an author states, “managing [one’s] time helps [him or her] learn more and exert greater control over [his or her] activities and life” (Pohlert 23). This skill helps pupils accomplish concerns with the highest importance, and it ensures one doesn’t lose precious time. Considering these facts, a proactive planner reduces their stress and exerts organization and management to their…
