“Yowch!” I shriek as I was being squirted with a high pressure water gun. I was being ambushed by my brother and his posse. He had the full water fight package, water balloons, water guns, buckets of water, cheap dollar general h2o squirters, you name it. The soggy grass produced a splashing noise as my feet made contact with the blades of grass. I sprinted behind the corner of my house trying to outrun my brothers. “You can run but you can't hide!” my brother exclaimed. When his friends found me they screamed with glee. I had no choice but to get out of there, I bolted towards a pile of rocks, thinking I could jump over the biggest one and make a grand escape, but boy I was sadly mistaken. As I was a couple feet away a tangled clump

I was thinking “If I hit this rock, I swear I will destroy everything in a 5 mile.” I fell on the rock left eyebrow first. I wasn't crying at first because the pain didn't hit me. When I touched my left eyebrow blood was gushing out. A cry erupted from my throat, a high pitched wail that only a little child like me could pull off. My mom was a couple of feet away from me, and she didn't notice. “Hey, Bea, do you hear that?” Her friend Said. “Hear what?” She replied. It took her a whole 3 minutes. I was starting to get agitated, how can she react this slow! “Oh boy.” she said. She finally rushed me inside, she told me to clean off my wound with a towel. The wet towel stung my wound. My dad came rushing down the stairs, which wasn't fast. My dad screamed at me for playing by the rocks. Now I was getting mad, I was thinking “Give me some slack god!” I wanted to hit him for being so harsh. He proceeds to scold me and say that's my …show more content…
Finally, she drove to the hospital but I swear she was going slow on purpose. I though as we drove, “How are we going to go so slow when you were rushing me to get to the hospital!” We finally got to the hospital. Before we even entered my mom stated the obvious and said I needed stitches, I freaked out. “You never said anything about stitches!” I exclaimed. She shushed me when we walked in, “You don't want to cause a scene.” I had to get some type of hospital bracelet thing and the nurse ushered me to sit down. Some reality tv show was playing on the tv that hung before us. I kid you not we had more than 20 minutes before we even got to go into the doctor's room. As we were walking down the hospital hallway I began to get real nervous, my fingers started to tremble and I started to walk all wobbly. I was getting nauseous and my mom could see it. She gave me a pat on the back, I barely noticed it. We walked into the doctor's room and I was starting to get nervous now. She said to lay down on the hospital bed so I can relax while they get the needles and thread. I was petrified as I waited. The more I waited

I learned a lesson all the way back in first grade, and that lesson has stuck with me ever since. I was coming in from recess, and I was talking to a friend of mine off to my left. Unfortunately, I was not watching where I was going. I kept barely taking glances of what was in front of me, and that was a huge mistake. Someone was running behind me, and wasn’t watching where they were going either. As I approached the building I heard yelling, but thought nothing of it. After all, recess had just finished, so obviously kids would be yelling, right? It turns out some kids had been playing tag, and decided to play until they got inside. One that was still running away, because God forbid he’d be “it,” was Nick.…

I remember seeing a lot of elderly people who were looking at me, they probably wondered how someone as young as me ended up in the hospital. Anyways, I made it into a new room, and the anesthesiologist and surgeon both basically said, “Here’s what we are gonna be taking out of you today, and here’s how we’re gonna do it.” Something interesting to note is that my dad had worked with both my anesthesiologist and surgeon at Riverside Hospital…
