METHODOLOGY
I. Setting and Participant
The research is conducted in National University – Manila. There will be thirty (30) BSBA (2nd year – 4th year) students in National University who will take the survey provided by the researchers; fifteen (15) will be female respondents and fifteen (15) will be male respondents. These students should be shifters from BSA to BSBA. In the pilot testing of the adapted questionnaire, all the respondents included their name.
II. Materials
This is a descriptive-quantitative research. Given such, the researchers adapted a questionnaire from “Student’s Shifting of Courses: Its Implication on Career Guidance and Counselling in the College of Education”, by Pasaquian (2014). The questionnaire has undergone modifications to make it more appropriate to the study. The research question was refereed by an expert before it was administered.
About twenty-five percent (25%) of the adapted questionnaire was used in this research. The following are the parts adapted: demographic profile, questions about the factors affecting the decision of student when shifting, questionnaire format.
The questionnaire for pilot testing was divided into five parts; demographic profile, the basic information about the respondents; program choice; factors affecting the decision of students when shifting, possible reasons for shifting to BSBA as their second program and; a why question to check consistency of answers and to check for other possible aspects that were not considered in the questionnaire. Most questions are answerable by “yes” or “no”, where they are asked to put a check mark on the space before their choice.

III. Pilot Testing
There was no section in the demographic profile asking for the respondents’ age, so the researchers were not able to see the average age of the respondents.     In order to formulate conclusions, this study formulated two methods to survey individuals. The first survey was referred to as the college sample. This random sample consisted of 200 students out of a population of 9,924. The stratification factors were sex and academic classification.
