Mexico Narrative
One day my parents got our whole family in our living room and told us that we were all going on a trip to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Our whole family was so excited so later that night we all went out to eat to celebrate. When we all got home we started getting packed right away. Our plane wasn't suppose to leave for a couple house but we were all waiting at the airport so that we would not be late. It was about 2:00 pm when our plane took off and It was the start to a long trip.

When we finally landed in Mexico it was about 6:30 pm so we just all of our stuff from the plane and went to our hotel. We stayed in the hotel the rest of the night and just watched some drunk people in the pool. It was really funny they were all in the pool for most of the night just drinking and having fun. In the morning all the people left so we could finally go in the pool. Once we were done in the pool we went out sightseeing and to some of the stores and I got a really cool blanket for only 12 bucks.

On the third day that we were in

He asked her in spanish so I don't know what he really said but i'm guessing that he said will you go out with me and my sister Sierra said,
“No. I don’t even live here, sorry.”
In total I think that she got asked out about three times by people in Mexico. I had a lot of fun in Mexico but the worst part about Mexico was the plane ride back to America. The plane ride back felt like we would never get off but after what felt like a lifetime we finally landed at the airport. We still had to drive from the airport back to our house which was about an hour away. Sierra said that she challenged me to see who could stay awake till we got home, which I won. When we finally got home it felt so amazingly good and my dog was so happy to see us and to get more food. That is why going to Mexico will always be one of my favorite

It all started about three or four years ago when my friend or as some people may consider her as my sister invited me to go for two weeks to a beach house for the fourth of july with her family. As soon as the sun was up we hit the road for about five or six hours until we finally arrived to cayucos which in this case was next to moral bay where ¨finding dory was filmed¨. As soon as the car stopped we ran out the car and started running towards the ocean as you hear the waves smashing towards each other. Looking up you can see pelicans flying free and the warmness of the sun hugging your skin. After spending time out on the beach xitclalli and I decided that we should go inside and see our bedrooms we…

At the age of two my parents made the long and devastating journey to bring me and my siblings to the United States from Mexico. They sought for a brighter and better future for us and fought tooth and nail to give us the world they didn’t have growing up. Ever since I had stepped foot on U.S soil I never had the chance to go back. The sacrifices that permitted me to be able to attend school for free and giving me a better head start than I would’ve had if we’d stayed couldn’t mask the effects of the move. I didn’t grow up being enriched by the colorful culture that Mexico has, I missed out on the opportunity to share moments with my family from abroad, and fought the struggle of trying to blend in, in an environment that was so different…

For the once isolated immigrant from the hot deserts of the Middle East, never have I expected the open doors of opportunity at my grasp and the growth that soon followed within the freshman year of high school in the US. Before my immigration, I never truly experienced the challenge of a demanding curriculum. As such, I experienced an immense culture shock within my mind. Despite the difficulty of the transition, I knew it was worth it because I discovered an aspect of myself that remained dormant till I entered the gates of my new school.…

Arriving safely in Florida felt amazing. My mom had told me my aunt and uncle would be waiting to pick me up and drive me to their house. They had a guest bedroom waiting to be my room for the whole summer. I said bye to my new friend Jaden and got off the plane. I made sure I had all of my luggage and that nothing has been removed. I walked to where my aunt and uncle said they would meet me. I was new to this airport so it was hard for me to find where anything was. I eventually ended up finding them of course, but I had to ask several people for…

I closed my eyes hoping I would bring myself to imagine I was in heaven safe and happy without any sort of pain I've been feeling since I began the trip but sadly that imagine didn't last, I heard somebody yell “Put your hands up now!!!” I froze in spot not knowing what to do the only thing I did know was my life was about to come to an end. I heard the Immigration and Customs Enforcement known as a police to arrest immigrants. The police officer was actually arresting and yelling at a man I knew who was also on the journey with the rest. I thanked God for not letting the police officer find me. As bad as I felt for the man I had to keep my head and keep walking. As I remembered my mother's words “Never bend your head. Always hold it high.…

The most memorable time in my life was my daughter's cleft palate surgery. It was January 4th when my daughter and I had to leave El Paso, TX to take a trip to Austin, TX. It was a long drive for a little baby like her at the time she was only two years old. Early that morning my parents took us to the bus station. The bus was leaving at 6 a.m. in the morning to get to Austin, TX at midnight. My daughter and I felt it was the longest drive ever as the bus was very full and kept stopping. Finally, we arrived to Austin at midnight. I had to walk around for some time until I found a cab to take us to the hotel. I was scared and nervous. I was all alone with my daughter in a city we didn't know. We arrived to the hotel and finally felt safe and some peace. As soon as we walked in the room, I called my family and let them know we were good.…
