Middle School Literacies
New Literacies in Middle School
(6-8 grade)
The articles that I came across in my research are in regards to new literacies in middle school. The readings all share a common thread which is incorporating new literacies into the curriculum help shape students in becoming active global citizens. The authors explained how teachers can leave their comfort zone and implement new literacies as well as student’s perspective about working with new literacies. I wanted to delve a little deeper into this topic because my daughter is going into the middle school in September. I would like to have insight into new literacies and technology she may be using throughout the next three years.
