INSTRUCTIONS

b) Write ALL your answers in your Exam.
c) This is a closed book exam. However, you can use one piece of cheating sheet (both pages can be used). You are not permitted to use computers, internet, or cell phone during the exam.
d) The examination takes 1.5 hours. There are three questions, with a total of 20 points.
e) Try to make your answers concise and to the point. A penalty applies when your answer includes irrelevant or false information which indicates your lack of knowledge to the question.

S.M. Entertainment is a Korean talent agency and producer of pop music. Its name, S.M., stands for Star Museum. Since its founding in 1990s, S.M. has created successful artist groups including
HOT, TVXQ, Super Junior, f(x), EXO (Figure 1), etc. In 2011, the company’s gross revenue rose to 99 million US dollars, mainly from sales of music CDs (and the copyright) and advertisements.
