Being a teacher we should give opportunities embedding the functional skills to assist the learners to develop their skills in literacy, numeracy, language and ICT throughout the programme of learning to enable them to use their skills effectively and confidently and independently in life during education and in developing the career after completion of an educational programme.
I plan the lesson that is relevant to the topic, easy to understand that support the learners and encourage them to involve enthusiastically in the learning. It assists me to prepare my lesson, to execute my plan, develop activities, helps me to upload my work on VLE for the learners who for some reason didn't attend the class can go through the lesson on VLE. The learner can advantage from resource pack study material online, can access to various software to prepare their work like Microsoft power point, word processor, spreadsheet, can use for numeracy purposes etc. I encourage learners to use to access detail by taking own initiative and find some source of information and create inclusive learning by making them work in a group and prepare and share to prepare the task, to interpret data.
