Fry exceeds these standards. For example, she knows what students she works with and which ones struggle with reading. So, when her 9th grade class that she co-teaches in is reading, she will secretly but on purpose assign small reading parts to the students she works with so that they do not get stuck with a huge part but also so their classmates see them reading and they do not think that they are different. Another example was when she was having a conversation with one of the other students with which works. Fry is a very organized person, however, she does not write up a lesson plan for her classes because the structure of the class is to help the student where they are; there are no standards that they have to reach in her resource room. She comes in for the day ready to help her students get done what needs to be done, and she knows there is always something that needs to be done. Because Ms. Fry knows her students so well she structures her instructions in varying ways. For one student the goal of the day is to have him clean out his binder, for the other student it might be to finish the math homework that she still hasn’t turned in, and yet for another student, it might be to have him read the reading that they will do in English class for the day so that they are familiar with the work and are not behind in class. Finally, her level of professionalism is magnificent. I find it extra impressive because she has a lot of academic problems to discuss and yet she is very careful not to cross that line. She says out loud what she is aloud to say, and keeps to herself of keeps to private conversation with the student what needs to be kept to a private conversation. That is where her leadership and collaboration come into play as well. She collaborates well with other resource teachers and regular content teachers. She tells them what she needs to tell them in order to find a solution but she also keeps to herself what she needs to keep to
