Multiple Governments and Intergovernmental Relationships
The current even and issue that I know most about and keep up with is the attempted Gun Ban. The last gun ban was in in place from 1994 to 2004, and had not been in effect since then. With the current rise in terrorist and crazy citizens with guns shooting up schools and public places through the United States has raised the question of new gun bans and laws in the nation. The government was attempting to put a ban on all current rifles with a detachable box magazine and all guns with magazines that hold more than ten rounds in them.
The federal Government is over the one that would have to change the overall laws and regulations but each individual state has the right to set their own gun laws as long as they still comply with the federal government. California for example has had many of these laws that are trying to be passed currently such as the ban of 30 round assault rifle magazines and require that the rifles have a bullet button which makes the rifle reloading a lengthier process. So in the long run the States and fed’s sometime work together and other times wont.
Currently the ban on assault rifles got out voted and is not a main issue, now what is still open and active is trying to take away any magazine for any weapon that holds greater than ten rounds. I am an avid and advanced gun shooter and owner, I believe that if that will make people happy taking away magazine capacity then let them. Taking that away will not stop shooting and or violence in any way through my eyes is useless. I do feel that the common weekend shooters do not need such huge magazine capacity and will help to possible limit damages done during a hostile shooting. Also the other main issue that I feel will help in the gun world and that should be enforced is a greater and more in depth background check than the current one that
