My Beautiful Roommate
Pledis High School. First day of school. The students at room 301 were very noisy. Their teacher was not yet there. However, three students were different among the rest. The first was Lee Byunghun. He was busy reading a book while sitting near the window. The second was
Changjo who was busy listening to music and the third was Ricky who was busy playing games on his phone. Few minutes passed and someone opened the door. Byunghun, Changjo and Ricky looked up to the door at the same time. The others did the same. The new guy entered and introduced himself. The class went quiet and everyone stared at him. "Annyeonghaseyo. My name is Lee Chanhee." "Kyaaaa ~ A new oppa!!!" "Psh. I think he is gay." Then everyone erupted into laughters except the three. Changjo gave him a nice smile and gestured to sit beside him. Chanhee, who felt humiliated, quickly walked towards Changjo.
Changjo patted his head and asked him to shake hands. "My name is Choi Jong-hyun. Call me Changjo." "My nickname is Chunji." "Hey. Smile now okay? Don't mind the others. I'm a friend so don't worry!" "Nae. Gomawo." "Oh wait. You say you are Chunji?" "Yeah. Why?" "Chunji changjo. You know what it means?" "Hmmm ... the creation of heavens and earth?" "Yeah! Wow. Maybe we are really destined to meet each other!" "Uhm ... nae." "Hey there newcomer!" "Oh hi!" "Aigoo. Why is he so tensed up Changjo? Did you do something to him?!" "Yah! I didn't do anything wrong! Right, Chunji?" "Chunji? Is that your nickname?" "Nae." "I'm Yoo Chang-hyun. Call me Ricky okay? Let's be friends from now on!!!" "Nae, Ricky!" "Oh and by the way, there is someone you should really avoid here!" "Hey Ricky! Lower your voice!" "Arasseo arasseo! Alright, do you see that guy sitting over there?" "Who?" "The one reading a book." "I should avoid him?" "Yeah! You should really avoid him!" "Why?" "You'll see! But please! Believe me! It's for your own good!" "Arasseo." Exactly right after their conversation, their teacher

11 students showed up around 9:55 along with the teacher. One of the students gave remorse to the teacher due to fact that he had to miss class for something and that he really liked this class. I was astonished to see that the student actually came to class and told the teacher that he would have to miss; whereas, most students would just not show up or inform the teacher. 13 students showed up around 10:00. The fronts seats are now filled up, I found that quite interesting because you think that would be the row that would fill up first. Also, I came to notice that the majority of the students were sitting right in front of the teachers desk in a 3x4 cube of students. 10:02 class started and the teacher put notes on the board and began her lecture. Out of 29 kids, only two had laptops. One of them were taking pictures of the notes while the other was typing them. Additionally, two more kids were on their cellphones not paying attention at all. Those students were setting in the back row with their hoods up and all relaxed.…

“Turn to page three hundred and eight in your excel books”, Said the teacher. What? Shouted the boys on the left. You promised us it was prac today? This is bullshit! A general giggle erupted across the classroom. I felt sorry for the teacher as she and I both knew she was in for an hour of torture. “We only have practical classes once a week, you know that” she said hesitantly. Yeah.. well - that’s shit isn’t it! Said one of the boys. The teacher was beginning to show her frustration but she didn’t reply. She knew they got their kicks out of making her angry so she remained silent. They had made her cry a couple of times this term already. I didn’t see why they liked teasing her; but I still didn’t tell them off.…

The objective of these students are to write an essay of no less than one thousand words about who they think they are. This is given to them by their principal/ warden for the day, Richard “Dick” Vernon, played by Paul Xavier Gleason. He tries to keep them in their separate cliques by telling them to remain quiet and stating that any monkey business is ill-advised. He starts out by saying “It is now 7:06. You have exactly 8 hours and 54 minutes to think about WHY you are here - to ponder the error of your ways. You will not talk... you will now move... from these seats.”…

The resources that were being used for the lesson were the projector, computer, online class bulletin, and each student was using their phone to post on the bulletin. The noise level fluctuated. They were making the most dreadful noise that day, they sounded like crows squawking as they screamed across the classroom. He walks into the store and by the time he got out of the store it was 12:00 P.M. and he had walked in there at 8:00 P.M. Alexander walks around town on a cold and pitch black night. “I can’t seem to find my apartment.” said, Alexander to a stranger. The stranger ignores him. He goes to a nearby convenience store and asks the cashier, “Do you know where Sunset Road is?” “わかりません。” (I don’t understand) said the cashier. He responded with “Come on you have to be kidding me, I DON'T KNOW JAPANESE!” and storms out only to get a brick from the side of the road and throw it at the window. He bolted as soon as he saw an officer charging at him.…
