My Car
When I look at my car all I can think about is the future for it and how glorious it will look when I am finished. I drive a carbon steel grey 2013 Volkswagen GTI and I love it. Currently I only have a couple of modifications done to it but I have a list of plans for the future, for when I get the money. On my list of modifications, current and future, I can divide the modifications into three main categories; engine power, cosmetic appearance, and handling. Some of the modifications may be in for than one category but all of the modifications lead to my car looking, sounding, and feeling tremendous.
Engine power was the first thing I started to work on when I first got my car. First I went to a tuning shop and had Leo, the owner of the shop, install an APR stage 1 reflash which took the car from 200hp to about 250hp. That modification really woke the car up making it a little faster and a lot more fun to drive. The next power modification I did was a cat-back exhaust which claimed to give the car 15 more horse power but I did not feel any difference. The cat-back exhaust only made the car louder and gave the car a more aggressive look from the back. After the cat-back exhaust I installed an air intake which make the car more fuel efficient, gave it about 5 extra horsepower, and allowed the car to have an awesome blow off sound. The final power modification I have done so far was putting on a three inch downpipe and a stage2 reflash which took the car from about 255hp to about 280hp. My power modification I hope to get in the future are an intake manifold, larger fuel injectors, Audi r8 coil packs, a ko4 turbo kit from APR, and a larger intercooler.
For cosmetic appearance I have not done too many things yet but the things I have done made the car look much better and gave it a little bit of my own personal style. The first thing I did for appearance was changing my head light

First, I’d be a common Chevrolet that would drive around the streets and would not stand out from the rest of the cars and Chevrolets that drove around the streets. However, as time passed and I matured, I would be modified with a new motor, a new set of tires, new brakes, better handling, etc. Now, I would be a completely different Chevrolet that I was at the beginning. With my new modification I could now race against Lamborghinis and Porches. I would be more competitive. Now, I would stand out from the rest of the cars. Not only because I would be faster and with better handling, but also because of the paint of my car and its drawing. I wouldn’t have those normal, plain and boring colors that most of the cars have. Instead, I’d have a more exotic color that would make stand out and reflect my personality. With time and dedication I was able to modify myself, and now, with better brakes, I know when to stop when I’m going in a bad direction. With better handling, I know when to shift and look for another path, for another option. With better lights, I am able to see more clearly what’s ahead of me and that allows me to prepare in a better way for what is to come. Having modified myself allows me to stand out from the common cars and allows me to compete with the best of the best. It allows me to challenge…

Have you ever gone through any experience that was worse than the Holocaust? Well, I haven’t. Having researched Primo Levi’s life, I have learned that many people have experienced many horrors and with those experiences we as people have learned valuable lessons. His life experiences have given us valuable lessons that we as individuals have an obligation to learn from so that in generations to come our children will not repeat the same mistakes. In the novel, A Long Way Gone, a young boy by the name of Ishmael is forced to become a soldier at a very young age. He becomes involved in drugs and violence, stripping him of his innocence. Towards the end of the story, he is turned over to UNICEF and put into a rehabilitation center to recover from the horrors he had experienced. This relates to human trafficking; both issues involve children’s innocence being taken from them at a young age. Both groups deal with violence, tragedy, and drug use when they are very young. Trafficking of children leads them to living a life as an adult due to the sexual and physical interactions they may have with customers and those living with them. Both groups of children experience events that most adults don’t even live through every day of their lives.…
